dont use pvc, also ya you are liable to shatter that jar. but really you shouldnt try ghetto methods with butane, its a dangerous solvent. qwiso and qwet can be done indoors fine
dont be that uninformed guy trying to make dabs makin the rest of us look like idiots..especially if yiu get hurt
you get higher yield on bho. after winterizing you get about the same yield. qwiso is better than winterized bho if made properly . you cant pull a good amount of the fats and oils by winterizing, and many have a melting point way below your feezer temp.
theyre different solvents with dif polarity giving dif results. personally i prefer qwiso to any other method as its a good halfway between ethanol and butane.
typically 15-20% yield.
if yiu dont have a vac, thats ok. people freak out about a little solvent residue but these people dont understand how it works in your body. you get more hydrocarbons in you in lots of daily activities. say walking from walmart door to your car. in the same way anything electronic puts off radiation etc, a hot water bath and thin film is fine..
qwet and qwiso are much easier to purge not extracting so many fats causing a film to form. we call this an "iodine value" and again, if you smelled iso while purging at all you got more in you than would from the dabs with no iso flavor..... and sticking your nose in iso and inhaling may not feel great on your nose but realistically your fine. i have a medical back and been doing this a loooong time. i promise no adverse afrects will arise
try reading the first post in "qwizos qwiso" or many other threads.
the coffee filter really doesnt make a dif, if you wanna pre wet it go for it. you might, lose .01grams if your qwiso solution is fairly concentrated. however. pre wetting the filter wont stop most of any loss, again this is from a slight chem tek/lab knowledge but an overall lack of understanding. the solvent is simply going to trade places. it(the clean iso on filter) will dilute the qwiso coming out the filter and yiur filter is still left with qwiso fluid
