i think youre on track with the dwc this stuff when young is kind of docile but once it gets over about a foot tall likes its nutes & in coco responded quite well to daily flooding of nutes most people use a drain to waste feeding program for coco but im really warming up to the recirculating program & keeping a small amount of grow [nitrogen] food throughout the flowering schedule i wasnt too keen on gowing with the smaller light but my room is only 3x4 so im gonna keep dialing things in i kept a 1000w hps & a 4x4 tub thinking one day a bigger room could be in order my friend is running 4x8 tub & 2-1000.w lights that is the set-up that makes shit happen he is gonna kick off a skywalker grow soon & after hearing your results the news is encouraging ive been playing with the coco for awhile now but only just recently getting the results im starting to like i had mixed thoughts about the 2 gal. smart pots [been using 3 gal.] but i changed the mix to 60% coco 40% perlite & started flooding every day im not gonna count my eggs before they hatch but im really hopeful about the yield i also increased my veg time to 4 weeks thats where my 4 bulb t-5 light is gonna come in i dont keep a mother plant i clone from whatever im growing & then flip to 12/12 & after rooting i advance my babies to 4x4 rockwool blocks soaked in nutes & they veg under the t-5s while my main room finishes off been going on like this for close to 5 years in some form or another ive always let ''bud'' finance my upgrades & nutes ive also bought out a couple of people who just werent cut out to grow & in turn have helped out a few friends get started in growing it helps having others nearby who grow too i live in cen-cal & work is construction related & when the recession hit damn near lost everything i started doing this to help out & at one point was running a 600w. 3x3 e&f and a 1000w. 4x4 e&f but work has picked back somewhat & ive found i really enjoy growing i rank it right up there with fishing i really enjoy rubbing elbows with the people i encounter here & the sharing of our grows it makes this old farts[im 58] world go around

pheno 3+ is shaping up into a good kid slightly shorter with side branching for some reason it & 1 of the others didnt start budding on me im at a loss as to what caused budding on some & not the others im hoping i can induce some of my leftover babies to throw some nanners so i can pollinate one of my jacks cut gdp with it the plant on top of the trash can is 3+ the one in front of the wall is pheno #3 im gonna chop the main grow monday im really liking what i see in 3+ as it was cloned from a seedling i started from a seed from a pheno#3 that threw me a few seeds its showing more of the skywalker traits [lots of 3 fingered leaves] maybe tomorrow ill pick up the other babies i need to round out the next grow

ok i picked up my 2 other plants to complete the line-up for my next grow it seems like every other day i have problems uploading pics i cant tell if itm my computer or the site i do it on some of the other sites without many problems they get about 8% uploaded & all progress stops then the pop-up says there was a problem uploading my file ill try again later with fresh pics

im still trying to upload a pic of the 4 plants for the next grow, well they came across in seconds this time so anyhow here is a pic that wouldnt post earlier

Dude...... Having people around you doing the same thing probably helps out tons! Wish I had more people to talk too. Guess I do hear LOL it would be great if I could go to my neighbors and see and compare though. Maybe get some clones!

Herc my flower room is running 2 ventilated 1000w hoods. I would love to see your set up and try to understand it. I like my room a lot and am not going to shift to hydro (yet) but need to setup a watering system.

Given the right genetics, I can pull 1 to 1.5 per light, per cycle. The est I have seen was a 3 lb turnout.

A SW daddy purple would be crazy. Probably will give the high a balanced indica weigh down to it. I have noticed this strain is incredibly uplifting.

The SW is what I keep reaching for. All my buddies keep trying to get her from me! I am going to turnout a decent amount of this stuff next grow. IT IS VERY SOUGHT AFTER lol

hey ray a 4x8 tub & 3 or 4 gal smart pots with soil on them would work as long as you have enough height to put your res. under the tub we use the harbor freight pump to flood with on a timer when the timer shuts off the water would drain back down through the pump the smart pots wick up the water when you flood the tub once set up watering is a snap & if youre not dealing with daily feeding/watering a timer is not neccessary just plug in the pump & flood to me the hydro is less work as i flood once a day from the timer making my only task keeping the res topped off & maintaining my ph. its the lazy mans way of doing a grow i leave 1 pump constantly circulating in the res its hooked into my light timer as well as a fish aquarium air pump both turn on & off with my lights & fans which are on a heavy duty mechanical outdoor timer that has 6 outlets & a built in circuit breaker about $25.00 at home depot i was gonna chop tomorrow but i think they need an additional day or 2 it would probably be possible to run your lights & fans on the outdoor timer ive long wanted to run 2 600w. lights on a 3x6 tub which would be the next step down from a 2-1000w.lights over a 4x8 set up i have room for a 2x4 & 2 400w. lights im always daydreamin about this or that but for now what ive got is working out pretty good

Herc, the height isn't a problem for me so a rede our would fit. I will check it out.. I am revamping the room and decided to grow through the summer heat. You said the SW should be able to handle the heat... How hot do you think? I have two that have been fine through temps ranging into the low 90's for a bit.

I invested in a new very nice unit that will keep the heat manageable (80 - 90 degrees or so, not ideal but what I got to work with) for the summer sizzle.

Gonna run SW, Super Lemon Haze, and Sour Diesel because they are sativa leaning.

Any thoughts?

i routinly see temps in the 80's running my light at night right now last summer we had a week of 105-108 degree days my growroom outside gets hot the s/w came out good in spite of the high temps ive had a few high 90's days already this spring i dont have any kind of ac for my room i have an 8'' duct fan that pulls cool air from under my house which helps i was gonna chop today but decided they need a couple of days more im this far into it im gonna see it through hydro to me is easier than dirt i use the gh 3 part flora nutes & the keep it simple schedule ive used their floranova & their maxi series nutes with good results as well general hydro is kinda the small block chevy of the nutrient world they give away the feed schedule at the hydro shops the gh plant is about 1-1/2 hrs from my house so its readily available & reasonably priced around here i would like to one day visit their plant ive used some of the fox farm stuff but mainly i use gh

hey ray youre probably gonna really like the slh its real close to being as good as the s/w except its a little racier & if i toke too much of it i get paranoid a wee bit but it smells good & is potent,easy to grow & my favorite one is the shorter one with the golfball nugs but they all smoked good should do well with the s/w & s/d youve got a good line - up there

The heat is making me want to have others going in case one or three of them can't handle it.

I have 11 skywalkers going in s I am sure there will be a few winners in there!

I got pulled over on the way back to AZ and the state trooper gave me a ticket and complimented the smell of her. That's was right before he took it. Lmao, cocksuckers, he wasn't too bad though. Actually told me he wished he could smoke and everything... So there is a state trooper in Blythe CA smoking my shit.

i have a friend who regularly makes the az. run he is doing s/w & gdp outdoors this year slh can take some heat too honestly ray if you can keep temps 95 or below i see no problems of pulling this off i run my lights 5;30 pm=qn 5;30 am=off to beat the heat fortunatly my growroom is on the north wall i tried holy grail using the same method im using now & it came out lacking flavor & smell the s/w this run is not lacking in any way & the final verdict is near at hand if i can average 2 zips a plant this will be among my best the slh once gave me 2 litre pop bottle size buds the pics are gone now i had a thread called superlemonhaze at last full of info it it could be dug up make no mistake slh is some good shit hey ray just keep doing as you are ive grown 2 clone only versions of the sour'd one was really good & 1 was so-so & when it comes to hydro it looks harder than it actualy is ill always have a thread going here & im probably gonna do the next grow here as well

hey ray my first 2 grows were dirt & every so often i do a dirt grow but my prefered method is the e&f hydro in a medium that holds moisture for at least 48 hrs [coco or rockwool] a ph meter & the ability to read a chart & mix nutrients is about all it takes beleive me i am not the sharpest tool in the shed by a long shot i have a cheap ppm meter but dont use it a ph meter earns its keep even if youre mixing nutes for soil ph is i feel the single most important thing, i use tap water my current grow is small but the principal is the same for 4 plants or 40 my friend runs up to 6 1000w.lights 2 for each 4x8 table he uses 12x36 rockwool slabs when i used to have both rooms i did the same but feel that in coco the 2 gal smart pots is THE set up in dirt the 3 gal is the minnimum i would use[i did my last grow that way] if i were to do another soil grow i would use the 4 gal ones coco & happy frog cost about the same per bag except you use less coco well im off to work ill post chop pics tonight if i get in early enough
