First off my apologies for being an ass to you. Sorry....I'm sure you a great guy actually.
We are complaining for several reasons. The first one being that we all know they are gonna fuck this up...that's a more than likely given.
Second reason imo is because we are culture. We always have been and we like it. We don't want people who know shit about weed or us for that matter to be involved in shaping the future...we resent that. I sure do. . We especially don't appreciate their johnny come lately greed frenzy either.

Selling and growing is a different matter entirely. Even in edmonton small grows are sliding, but big grows that are obviously growing for the blackmarket are subject to full prosecution as they should be...

These dispensary raids... good... they are opportunists trying to get first mover advantage. Fuck em if they dont want to wait. Especially when the majority of their sales are to young rec users. There are a lot of people waiting to open up a legit operations according to whatever laws are drawn up. Why should those who jump the gun get an unfair advanatge?

It seems the Borg (big Corps) find everything and assimilate it into a product of some sort that can bring profits. It was only a matter of time for this... I don't like it either.... but I don't see that it's an end to it for us... because WE are the culture and it dies only when we die.

Although that too is well on the way...lol

If it was the old BM of the 80s I'd be fine with that. The worst fear was getting a light bag or some oil cut with some nasty shit. But it's all gangs now... shooting each other and other innocent people for little more than dime bags. These punks are fuckin retarded... that has to go somehow...

Dude, it's not MJ that fuels the gangs and shootings....it's meth and PharmaCon drugs that cause that. I can't ever remember a single gang shooting in Canada being reported over a dime bag deal gone wrong. If you think MJ is causing all the shootings, you've fallen into Billy Blair's propoganda trap.

No. Ive watched it happen over decades. Here edmonton, surrey, toronto... it still goes on with the kids on their way up into the gangs. They have their territories ... street corners and they sell it all...weed meth fentanol coke... you get cught on the wrong street you get shot...home invasions of wee little grows...kids trying to make a name and claw their way up... never used to be like that.. its gotten worse over the years...

Dont you read the papers? Ill try to dig up a couple articles for ya. One was a kid who lived accross the alley from me. 17 years old. He sold 1/4s of shitty weed. Found him dead in his car at the park down the street. Bullet in the forehead.

Same thing with a couple somalians...selling 1/4s on 107 ave and 105 st. Both shot dead in the same alley a few days apart.

Same shit in surrey...

When you get a license in Ontario or renew, the attendant at the Service Ontario centre makes you fill out a form. This form has a questionnaire specific to medical conditions and medications. The form also has a request for organ donation. Once you complete the form the attendant asks you a second time if you have any medical conditions to declare. The reason they do this is so they can put something in your file to help with the patrol officers understanding of the situation if you are pulled over while driving or they can review the file and make you come in for an interview to judge if you are competently able to perform. They are doing this for risk management/insurance liability/road safety.
