Raspberry Cough and Afgan Kush grow.

The secon SLH plant is looking better than the first one did so I have 'high' hopes for it. The Sour Grapes is starting to really swell so I think it's going to be every bit as good as it's mother was.
 
Spent the evening changing around the veg room AGAIN. I had the DWC with the autos in the lower half and the dome with the seedlings in the upper half but know I'll need space for a couple plants to grow as mothers so I pulled the DWc out and changed it around so I could turn it 90 degrees and use only half of the lower section.
Now I have a piece of foam insulation that's wrapped in mylar as a divider, which I only put there so there's as much reflection as possible for the autos, in the center of the room. Now there's a 18"X24" area for a couple small mother plants so as soon as the seeds pop up I'll stick them in some pots and put them down there to veg.

I'll get some pics tomorrow or something and post them.
 
Changed the res in the DWC this morning and gave the RC and Afgan their first dose of bloom nutes last night. Started them out on a half strength dose of BB, TB and Open Sesame.

The DWC is running some FF Hydro Grow Big and some BB at a low ppm.
 
Here's a pic that shows the difference in the two autos. They are 9 days from sprouting, Ph 6.0 and water temp 74 degrees. It fluctuates from about 68 to 75 and the Ph swings a little from 5.8 to 6.3 between top offs.
 
The one Raspberry Cough that had shown sex so far appeared to be female but today I noticed little balls forming on it too so I pulled it and trashed it. Two others look like they're going to be male too but I'll wait until I know for certain before pulling them.

Since I put one Afgan in almost a week before the other two, it's the only of that strain to show sex so far and it's a female. Now that I had one hermie of the raspberry Cough though I'm a little nervous that the Afgan plants might go hermie too. Have to wait and see...
 
hi mate saw u over on the 600, subbed in. i've got the lemon haze and an auto flower on the go, think its called a bonkers auto? looking good so far bro ;)
 
Hi decrazer, was jus checking the journal, ("well not a journal" as you said) to see if the switch to vertical would be easy for you. Well you have all the gear so I think it would be a question or if you want to run 1 or 2 shelves. (1 is probably better if you are runing 1 600) which means you have the space on the floor you have at the moment, plus around another 60% of the space above on the shelf.
Perhaps think about if you could do a vertical light raiser that would be cool(I see you had a light raiser of some sort I think) Anyway, I think you would be good to go, not much to do really.

Holler if you need help, you know where I am bru.

Thanks guys. I appreciate you stopping by and thanks for your comments.

Deciding where to go from here and would appreciate any opinions and suggestion I can get.

Here's the deal:
-Currently have a 600W digital that'll run MH/HPS and a cooltube.
-Have a 400W Magnetic ballast that runs HPS only w/air cooled hood.
-Getting another 600W digital and have the opportunity to build a new flower room that can be as big as 5'X9'6"X9'3"H.

Ideal setup will alow me to harvest every 4 weeks or so so I was thinking of maxing out my available space and setting up 2 tables that are 36"X42" end to end so there would be a grow area of 36"X84" that was divided in half (E&F). Each having it's own reservoir so I can harvest one tray of plants every 4-5 weeks depending on strain.

Another option would be to just do one big tray that's 36"X72" or 84" and fill it up with plants, harvest it all at once every 8-10 weeks but it would be a pretty big harvest I think.

The third I was considering was not making it so big but setting up a vertical grow with the two 600W HPS lights. Not sure how hard it would be to do a perpetual grow with a vertical though (harvest half every 4-5 weeks).
 
the 36x72 with 2 600;s was what i was gonna do at one point until i got the 1000w. set up iv got to make my room bigger for next grow
 
Picture 110.jpgPicture 109.jpgPicture 108.jpgyeah that heath robinson thread is impressive, myself im looking into scrogging & i dont think slh is gonna be my ''keeper'' strain ive got my 4th round of clones going now & i think these babies are gonna be as good as it gets quality isnt the problem its the yield, ive got to expand my room as 3x4 just dont utilize my 1000w. light my ww-x-bb babies are my base for my next grow & theyre gonna need more room ill be maxed out at 4-x-4 tray & 12 plants dinafem blue hash & blue widow are strains of interest as well as serious seeds white russian the plants in the 3x3 blocks are ww-x-bb the large plant & clones are the strain of slh. ive finaly developed to use theyre going in a friends grow:weed:
 
Well, if we lived a little closer to each other I'd offer to meet you somewhere and give you a bit to try out. I think you're a little too far though and considering I don't race anymore, I don't know when I'll be back up that direction.
 
Not sure about purple/blue strains from them but My SG has not done that. The one that's almost finished flowering is changing colors somewhat but I only see it when thr HPS is on so it's hard to say exactly what color it is.

Maybe I'll pull the SLH and SG out and take a couple pics of them to post without the HPS making them all orange. I'm just trying to not light stress the youngins in the flower room, you know? They still haven't all showed sex yet.
 
You could try to get some Querkle, Grandaddy Purp or their Purple Kush. I think they all turn purple to different degrees depending on pheno and conditions.
 
Here's some pics of the SG and SLH out in regular light that I just took.

They will be 9 weeks of 12/12 on Sunday and in the last pic you can see where the light has bleached the top of the main cola on the SLH. I just couldn't get the light any higher so it's a little too close.
