I gotta +rep hayduke for being there when I couldn't answer also!
TreeGardener:
What type of medical condition are you trying to treat and what properties of the medicine do you seek? I may be able to help you narrow down a strain. The next problem will be locating a close genetic relative in the area or locating one from a reputable seed company.
USPS is a bad idea, there are other shippers that do not look to closely. But pre-american "terror controlled" world I was able to receive seeds directly from Amsterdam over the USPS with no problems.
Times change, oh well.
Back on the topic, Tree I see you are learning. It takes time to soak up the big stuff and practice will be all that is left. Then it will be just as any other plant.
Hi Dub - Where is everybody anyway. I have some PMs out there that I am waiting for people to answer. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !
Okay Dub - My condition: I have major depression and for an artist and musician that is deadly because it means you can't be creative if you are down. And in my case I can be down for months and frozen. I can keep a house and shop and take care of my pets, but the creative element is locked up. Pills have too many side effects. It is a joke when the pharmaceutical companies advertise a medicinal product on the air with a whole litany of the possible horrible side effects that you might get. Of course some of these meds are a godsend to many people. I am just not one of them. So, I am not expecting a cure, but I need to get off the ground sometimes to get a better perspective on things and also to get a temporary kickstart on the creativity aspect. Another thing is paranoia. I think there are some strains that cause paranoia more than others. That's a subject in itself.
I don't want to get super analytical when I am high. I think too much as it is. So I am looking for a strain that is not too heavy. It sounds like the Indica with a little splash of Sativa is a good recipe. But I am still reading up on it.
Thanks for asking Dub. I just hope this doesn't end up on Google.
The more I weigh all the elements of my situation - time place, state, city, money, paranoia, etc, growing my own seems like the only route to go with a plan to stay way under the radar. I don't think I am going to be able to find an M.D. who will sign the form for MM. My problem is an acceptable problem, but the docs are scarce in Oregon. They can get run outa town if they participate.
So again - HAPPY NEW YEAR. The winds are howling at my place here on the coast. I love it.
