ready to harvest??

this is my first grow not sure im just really trying to figure out by eye it made 8 weeks in flower yesterday

Getting close i'd say another week or two. Check trichs then you'll know for sure. Nice grow btw.

never grown my own before but from what i've read you should wait until more of the little white hair turn an amber color

thanks i wasn't sure im going to get a 30x magnifier to be more exact not knowing is too much stress for me i dont want my hard work to be wasted

yup I also say about 2 weeks but it depends on you and how you like it

id say 3 weeks and get rid of that foil it will burn your plant

was gonna say get rid of the foil as well but see u already have...noobs (did this myself) think foil is perfect 2 use when in fact not good at all causes hot spots resulting in burn...id let it go another 2 weeks as others have said...u will be much much happier they will fatten up alot more adding weight and making more dense...looks pretty damn good but be patient as i no its very hard 2 do but u and ur girls with both benifit alot more...

yea i was using the aluminum foil to lessen the space i wanted most of the light focused on the plant but thanks i will be patient i just didnt want to miss my window and end up with crap bud or cut to early and still end up with crap bud lol

it looks like it threw out its last pistils and its starting to turn..wait till like 70% of hairs turn, or 5-10% of trichs are amber.

your grow is just behind mine. i will be 9 weeks into bloom from preflower on monday.

The only sure way to know is to look at you trichomes through a loop.
I read that you are getting one so no worries. I'd be thinking 2 weeks until harvest.
I had to say this; nice fucking job for bag seed, what did the smoke it came from look like?

post more pics in about 10 days. try to get pics of the buds as close as u can without blurring. GL

they are still growing should fill out alot would say 2-3 weeks at the least

yeah it had a little growth outta no where which surprised me but it looks like its done more hairs are turning and since i put up the mylar there's a lot more light hitting the plant

yea im hoping to get it in 2 days i just ordered one off amazon and honestly i don't remember the bag i got it from i typically just save them when i get them

Go online to Radioshack.com and spend $12 on a 'self-lighted hand-held microscope"
By the time you get it - they May be ready... or see if you have a Local Radioshack and they'll get ya one..

CAREFULLY remove a sugar leaf from a bud about 1/2 way down the plant (the top almost always is ready 1st-- so we use the sides as a guide...) use the scope to look at the crystal formed on the top side of the leaf (Trichomes/trichs) If they look like spheres or lollipops---and are cloudy, they are ready... some people like to wait until a few start to turn amber... it makes it more narcotic...

But you need to flush the plants accordingly-- if 8 weeks- do you mean from day 1 of 12/12 or from when they started to flower?

The "day one" is when the plants start to actively flower-- each plant is different... so even if all have been in 12/12 8 week- some may be 6 weeks along , others 7... either way... if those are in soil.....time to flush!!! They need at least 2 weeks after being flushed of getting just water & carbs (if you use them) otherwise, the plant retains a lot of magnesium, Nitrogen etc.. that effects the taste, aroma and harshness...

Don't jump the gun on harvesting--early/unripe weed is harsher, less potent and takes-on a grassy/hay smell that ripe/well cured weed doesn't have.
