Just because you can't really follow the breeder advice for the strain it may be worth buying a scope from Maplins or a local hydro shop to make sure you have cloudy/amber trichs to suit your preference.

I borrowed an art magnifying glass off my brother inlaw - makes a big difference! How much would a scope cost from Maplins ? Are the ones on Ebay no good ?
My big girl is looking almost ready, Between wednesday and saturday I'm going to be taking closer looks....
My little girl is trailing behind somewhat though - looks like she's about a week or 2 behind... However I'm sure once she gets the HPS to herself - she'll take off again !

It is advertised as an autoflower - fact of the matter is its NOT an autoflower! Its just an early finisher!

My plan was to keep them under 18/6 the whole grow, but at 6 weeks there were no signs of sex, so on the 7th Week I switched to 12/12....
I initially thought mine were looking more like Top44 through the Veg period, now they have flowers and have chunked out abit they look more like Early Special...
I can see Nirvana's idea with Short Rider - Its a nice combination - Early special has the yeild factor - Top44 has the early finishing factor - But their naming of new strains is pretty dia - "Top44 Special" would of been a better name IMO...
I'm glad of the experience they have given me though... I'm a week or so away from having bud... I can't wait !!

Ok, I think I'd better throw in an update as I'v harvested my biggest on sunday just gone and I'm now down to 1 plant...
I hung it for 48 hours - then put it into paper bags for 48 hours and majority of it is now in jars curing -
The outcome of my biggest - I had 7 buds that were the same size - see in my hand pic ... the rest were a little smaller - including the popcorn buds, 4 bags filled and I got a little over 2 dry O's!
I have smoked a few J's - So, I have an uncured smoke report -
Taste - 5/10 (I can tell it will getter better with curing) Its kind of earthy!
Smell - 8/10 Very fruity - citrus
Effects - 5/10 (again, I can tell this will get better after curing too) I would say - perfect daytime smoke - Wake n Bake!
My little lady is a few more days away from harvest - I'm hoping she'll be ready by monday which will make it exactly 8 weeks of flowering (she may need a little longer, we'll see)
She's of a different pheno - she's showing alot more crystals and swelling than my biggest, she is also alot more sensitive, shes either got a calcium or Mg def, Im not too sure - I think it may be a PH problem (Most of the fan leaves have rusty dots over them) This far into flowering and this close to harvest, I'm not too fussed now, if I had been 2 weeks into flowering then I would of worried alot more!
I'll get some pics of my little 1 tonight to put up, 'I haven't taken any recent pics of her, the one Iv put up is from sunday!

hey jedi I just got mine ordered and waiting on them. I am fixing to start a journal, but I was wanting to know what lights u were using the whole time.
As well how long from moment you switched to 12/12 it took to completely finish flowering.

You'll be surprised V, Me and the Mrs have smoked Over an Oz so far !! LOL
Smartguy - I would love to say you made a good move with Short Rider - But I'm afraid you may be disapointed with the final result....
They smell great from early Veg, the smell even better during flowering..
They are a lovely looking plant (While alive)
Once harvested and dried, the smell is still there, But it looks and tastes like standard english street weed that the Chinese and Thai pump out....
Sorry if this upsets you but I would of advised against it "Strong "Skunky" Buds" My ass Nirvana!!
To answer your question though dude, although I have documented it in this journal somewhere...
I started them under a 125w duel spec envirolite for 2 weeks - I then introduced them to a 400w HPS...
7 weeks Veg (18/6) for my biggest with no sign of sex.. Switched to 12/12.. 7 weeks flowering
