thanks what you been up to bro? probably too much oil i miss brownies already... i checked my outdoor batch of oil tonight and it looks real good so far we'll see how it is in another 2 or 3 weeks (yeah they say a month but shit it's averaging over 100 daily here now I don't think a month is in 100 degree temps if a crock pot on 180 will do it in a day.... )

It's more likely I'll be out your way sooner than you'll be this way... I'm wanting to get back to cali but I'm thinking it's gonna be seattle this year I still wanna check it out before I make a firm decision. Would like to go to hempfest but it's right at harvest time and it's not really an option til after seeing as how the fruits of last harvest or spent/saved.

Nah I'm not that great of a grower amended/super soil makes you look like a good grower even if you're not I really don't know why more people don't go that route who are doing soil.... but anyway I just try and baby my plants with the theory that babying them is going to produce good results Unfortunately sometimes due to not being able to do this full time (yet?) I don't always have the time to give them the attention I'd like to. I look at my plants and even when I think they look good I can give you a list of things I want to improve on to make'em better... never really satisfied unless they're flawless frosty beasts -- i haven't yet succeeded yet to my own standard on any consistent basis yet Can you tell that the basis of my real life job is looking at how things are in an organizational system and looking for ways to make it more efficient/better? I'm a tweaker

Just watered 4 or 5 getting ready to go water 4 or 5 more then done for tonight... apollo's full on budding up with the little pointy flower pistils so cute... it looks like everything'll be open by the end of day 10. my last few grows it's mostly been around 2 weeks not sure if it's due to stable light schedule or nutes... i'm thinking maybe nutes (pure super soil)... also this batch for the most part got to root into their new homes pretty well before flower that always helps

Less than 7 weeks til the first aces should start coming down if I'm lucky. They're definitely on pace and looking happy. Got a couple of stretchier phenos -- strike one unless their wicked dank.

You should consider a mom room if you have genetics you are saving but not flowering out. My set up basically consists of 3 rooms. The Mothership, the veg room, and the flower room. The nice thing about moms is that they do not need much light. My mothership is 5 x 8 and lit by 2 600's. I could probably get away with 400s if I wanted to.

Anything stick out to you just yet as far as a pheno? Just looking at the bush?

Lookin' good! Short and squat with big indica leaves = Black Cherry Soda pheno, likely to get purple buds, taller with thinner leaves = Jack the RipperThat one looks more jack dominant to me not the big fat indica leaves. My previous Jack dominant ones still smelled like black cherry soda instead of lemon, so you still may get some BCS traits even if it is jack dominant. Will know better after this round, but the more jack dominant phenos I think are going to have the more potent high. I think the jack may be the better yielder too. We'll see how she goes in flower

!!!!!! Badass update!!! Showing that AoS love! <3 Epic I like the mix of led vs hps AoS focal points. Will be nice to see how they might compare even though they are sipping light from each other.

yaaa man been in lala land for last two months with this oil lol. I have probably saved about 600-700 dollars just smoking on oil. Money that has been saved/put in good use else where(kid books/trustfund) Haven't made the QWISO yet....still waiting on those .2micron filters should be receiving them sometime this week coming up. Supa dupa excited to try this!!!
MMM BCS oil I wonder how that would taste =-O!!!!! I am sure it gets alot hotter as well with the ground asorbing the heat and reflecting as well... Probably reaching around 130/140 in the jar but I am no expert lol! A month huh!? Wow! I wonder how psychedelic it'll turn out.

Water, superthrive (rooting), vermiplex (microherd & micros) and small amounts of ej catalyst (food for the microherd) for ph adjustment. They don't need much as all the food is in the soil. All they need are additives to help them along

It seems like those filters are always a week away?? what's up with that!!

Yeah wrapped in foil too... it's not directly on the ground it's sitting on a tray.. but yeah i'm sure it's averaging 110+ inside the jar during the day (seeing as how it was 106 yesterday here -- and felt it -- my a/c froze up again from running too much... had to sleep last night with no a/c while i let it rest today it is working better again I set it up a little higher temp so it doesn't have to try to keep up so hard. The good thing is the grow room is handled with it's own a/c in there... it's had no problem i hope the heat doesn't cause clone issues... it's probably around/over 80 up in the clone room on the top floor. Anyway yeah some people in another thread I asked about it seem to think it's crazy but i just think with cooking it may be easy to over or under do it.... also thinking the slow extraction might help make it more potent and who knows like you said maybe more psychedelic we'll see... no bud in there this time but the oil's solidly full of sugar trim. I think if the temps stay this high i'll probably just give it another week or so. it's an expiriment if it doesn't work out I can always go back to cooking i'd much rather toss the shit in a jar and wait a month as long as you're planning ahead it's no problem.

That damn usps take their sweet ass time haha but thankfully the tracker shows tues-wed. Will never know unless ya try right? Expermentation is the funnest thing to do! Testing out theories and backing them up with tests. Only thing that ya gotta be is patient haha! That sucks to hear about your AC! I know when I do not have AC during the nights I wake up in a puddle of sweat and feel effin gross! Colorado is going to be wonderful whenever I make it. bhaah

Well, I gave it a week+ in 95-105 degree weather... I decided to pull it just to make sure it didn't go rancid.. It did not go rancid. Oxygen and light are the biggest factors for rancidity and I took those out of the equation... coconut oil has a high temp it will go to before getting rancid... i did think pushing it through a month of the same temps might be too much... I think a week may have been just right, but won't know til later...

Getting ready to make cake now... coconut oil starts clear. it's now a nice golden amber... (not green -- every oil i've ever cooked has come out at least a light shade of green) -- i kept a 1/3 cup out for the cake and the rest went in the freezer

What did you strain it with?

Just a fine strainer I bought at the asian market never seen anything like it at the normal stores it's like 6" in diameter.

This grow looks awesome, Hope my plants can look this good, SUBBED!

So the guys that came in last week got together with the guys that came in today.

I'm currently running Laughing Buddah, And LSD From barneys along with Nirvanas papaya and two world of seeds fem freebies that look great! Just got my first two Led lights in, Two sgs 160s from Area 5 and im pretty happy with the lights as they are badass! Will be more happy when the next two arrive, built my entire enclosure and hung the lights, while transplanting all plants from little half gal pots two 5 gal smart pots, Took about 6 hours but was well worth it. Wish i could take pics and start grow journal but.... anyways. Until I can, I'll just sub you guys growing with LED's and making it work, and I'll try to keep up, After seeing all this I am convinced to go with a couple subcool strains next run, got a pick on the best yielder/quality?

That's crazy that happened to your ac cause I was goin' through the same shit over here lol fuckin blows dude. At the same time I had an outlet start flippin' out and trippin' the breakers so I walked in my flowering room and it was 110 degrees with the lights on and all my fans off. I mean my fuckin' glasses fogged up instantly like I was chillin in a sauna. For all you newbies out there you wanna know why it's important to check on your rooms frequently.
