mold likes dark but algae likes light. could you put up a pic of this res that you are talking about and where it's at? that would help.

but generally speaking, light-proof everything from reservoirs all the way to tubing for airstones, etc.

i had one of CLW's first leds the SolarStorm. that sucker was awesome. they build some quality stuff IMO. do you have one per tent?

don' t know how handy you are but if you could build some type of hood with a flange on it that you could mount above the fans on the led, you could really suck out all the heat those things make fairly easily. just a thought...

here's my setup with my reservoir running into 2 tents with 2 Blumats per pot, 3 girls flowering now. I got the chiller keeping reservoir temps at 61 and it's working great. There's a lot of condensation that i need to figure out on the outside of the reservoir but I haven't gotten any mold or algae that i can tell everything is clear and smells good. I added a 6in fan in each tent and probably could use a couple more. What do you think?

That's awful cold for the roots. 68F is the optimal temp in hydro, 66F will slow the growth, and below that you can halt the growth entirely.

You can go colder like you have if there's media that is maintaining some heat you are trying to offset, but you want the root zone at 68F.

Cover that reservoir too! The less light penetrating inside, the less algea can form. I've used clear containers and just either taped the outside or spray it with a dark colored paint.
