Thanks gumball :-) I think that's the key with 12/12 from seed, you want to get maximum veg growth before they kick into preflower so you get a decent sized plant to flower. They're still nice and short but have spread out. I'm still planning to add another 2 plants in there but need to time it well otherwise I will overgrow my little cabinet :-)

I can totally understand that mate, im hoping the cold mine have had at night hasnt slowed them down to much as they really are small i hope to see faster growth once they are in the house. has the snowwhite stopped getting taller now? if so how many weeks was it until it stopped getting taller?
 
oh damn didnt spot that last update! stupid me, so do you mean the stretch stopped at 27 days? im wondering if i would be better of vegging for a week in future because of the size of them, dont know yet?

my snowwhites were a bit to big for what i want but they were vegd for 2 weeks so im thinking maybe 1 weeks veg would be perfect. but i will wait and see how these go 12/12 from seed first, i know the trainwreck wont be getting any veg time ;)

Hi mate,

The Snow White is just 10" tall. She germinated around 3rd August and showed pre flower on 25th August. I'm using simple pinch and bend method to control any stretch between nodes to keep them short, a nightly bend over (Ooh Missus) of the tops. Seems to be working so far. The MK's are at day 27 from seed and I expect just about to stretch but I'm already bending those tops each night, they straighten up by morning again.

Even 12/12 seed grows CAN get tall though, do you remember 'Randy Rocket' and his 12/12 thread? he just let them stretch away and he grew lanky ladies that gave him a solid dry OZ each, same principle though,he just let them go, no training or topping to slow things down so when preflower shows the plants are already a decent size.

Thanks for the comments folks and jjmd, it probably just comes with practice like most things, I've done much experimentation with 12/12 seed grows in the past, but I would struggle to do what V12 and others here are doing in a PC case, now that really is clever stuff :-)
 
Cheers for explaining that MS :) Im also wondering about the planting two seeds per pot thing you have done in the past, Im wondering about planting both trainwrecks together and when they sprout twisting the stems together!! would look awesome i reckon :)

I have a few 1.5 gallon pots that would be good for 2 in a pot thing, and i like the idea of double the number of plants but only a few pots, got any tips on this?

oh yeah forgot, yeah i have stumbeled across that grow before they sure were monsters!!! he started a load of them at the same time under the 430w on a shelf in the grow cab, im gonna hunt it down and have a look :)

Quick post folks. Our eldest daughter has had an operation this week and just come out of hospital, all went well but she's staying at home so her bf can keep working, so we have her and our grandaughter to look after for a week or so, very hectic! Took a couple of shots of the MK, will do the SW in a few days. Cheers.

Sorry to hear of the operation on your daughter, but sounds like some quality, and hectic, family time!! I will keep your family in my thoughts to get well soon.

that MK is starting to bud very well now!! the branching is crazy!! that goes to show right there that Nirvana hsa good quality because you and tamjam bought Nirvana MK and they look very similar. cant wait to see that frosty snow white!

Damn this is an awesome grow. I'm about to get one of my best friends started on 12/12 from seed in a pc grow and this pumps me up for it even more.
 
You guys are giveing them at least enough 18/6 light to set their roots, right? I find that about 2 weeks from germ to 12/12 works well for me. Clones do work better for this.
 
no, he is doing all 12/12 from seed. instead of more daylight, he grows more plants more often. they look real nice, huh! he also proved to himself, which is all that matters i am sure, that clones are slower than seeds from start with a little perpetual system like this.
 
yeah, i guess stoners are not as open minded as you would think stoners would be. especially coming to a Internet site to ask for advice and to give advice.
