  • temperature : 22-28 celsius
  • 12/12 lighting schedule after 10 days of grow , cut after 70 days since first pistils showed up
  • ec : 1.4 in grow 1.8 in flowering ( it was too high)

  • solution changed every 7 days

before starting the grow journal i want to talk quickly about those leds.

the 400w cob performs well, growing stage was vigourus, maybe a little less compared to a 400w mh but it might be genetics of the plant, also the internodes stayed quite tight.
the lamp is quite noisy to my taste, way less than a normal sized extractor but i would say it is loud as a noisy computer ( fan noise)
luckily you can very easily open the panel and wire the fans in series instead of parallel, this way they run at 6v and are very silent.
it doesnt get too hot, and the build quality is really good for this price, really... if someone wants some pictures of the inside i might put them sometime.

the biggest upside of those lamps are of course heat, they produce a little, the 300w is like a 125w cfl in terms of heat and the 400w cob like a 200w cfl, so perfectly manageable.

125 grams, with less than 190w of power consumtion, and its easily possible to get better resuklts with a larger grow room ( mine is tiny) and LST, but i think its nice to see the result on a less than optimised plant...

i think the results will shut up more than a few idiots here saying chinese pannels are crap, i was really happy with this one

feel free to ask any questions, the pictures in the end are whiter because i found out how to change the settings to get them to look less purple/ pink, which i didnt know how to do in the beginning



























































since some people here ddint know that imaging softwares exist i posted a gif to show the settings i used to make the light appear more natural, i kept the the first pictures from the post original so you can see the natural color of the lamp

yeah totally! OP is a idiot!(lol) @jrock2000 you should have used a thread title other than the light you tested when you posted a documented grow with that light, that way @Big smo wouldn't have to come of as a complete dickfinger and be an asshole.

Never grew a tomatoe under it for us to see.
You do contribute to the DIY crowd I guess but everyone who does one build seems to be the master all the sudden.
When someone like this OP says we're all idiots because of the lessons we've learned about cheap & expensive Chinese or otherwise fixtures, someone's bound to retaliate. You know this.

sooo, I'm gonna hop in on this, there are some people who have been coming back to the point of 125 grams off of 194 watts, yet nobody has pointed out that it was only a 1 plant grow, a autoflowering plant, now idk what you guys are all used to growing but I've grown many autos, and not all that many produce over that amount, in fact for a single auto that's a pretty decent harvest, so if he had grown 2 and pulled 125 grams off both plants for a total of 250 grams for his 194 watt draw at the plug would you still be criticizing his light the same way? I think you probably would just to continue the hatred for Chinese led, it's a shame that people on this site act this way, I used to be a regular on this site, but got sick of the know-it-all attitudes, so now I just read for the most part, occasionally post but will never show a grow here ever again, it's complete nonsense and to act like your dick is bigger when you fail to look at all aspects of the grow before considering his lighting draw and gpw average from 1 auto, LOL, .... Leaves me well speechless .... IT WAS A DAMN NICE lookin plant man, congrats on your grow, and thank you for sharing it with us, don't let these guys bother you, keep up the nice work.

And 2 plants with the same light doesn't double the harvest.

ahh yes I went back and re-read it, but either way it went 12-12 with 10 days of veg.... Do you think it would have produced more than 125g had it been vegged longer? ...... Does almost any photo plant do that? The fact is it was a plant that basically grew to the height of a auto, due to the growers choice, 125g off a plant that height is not bad, I've seen much worse on this forum is all I'm saying and instead of criticizing and saying the light is garbage you could just say "that's a nice lookin plant man... Good job making the most of what you have" or at least something positive rather than most of the last 4 pages

Its just that alot of those cheap led panels just dont last very long.I grew some super dank,big plants under my mars panel but 14 months and its crapping out? Then if they had a decent return policy it would be ok but mars just says stupid shit like show me the burnt diodes and we will ship you replacements lol.but if you can find a company to take care of warranty work then i say go for it,they def work decent for cannabis
