Really cold temps (below 55-60 degrees as often as possible for two to three weeks), increased humidity (60% + constantly!), and garlic sprays (mix your own or buy some, and soak the shit out of your plants just before lights out, three applications over the two week cold period, thorough and aggressive, don't leave an inch of plant mass uncovered, and spray the walls and floor of your room as well, then water rinse the whole area). Bleach clean your room and equipment both before and after the 2 week cold period. Don't use the neem until after you have done all of that,. Two post cold period applications of neem oil just to ensure they don't move right back in on you,
I will also get some lady bugs for each grow
Not with sealed reflectors
Instead of a dirt or rock path Im gonna have shed slippers that never come out. NEVER

So today I was looking at the plants to see how the mite situation was looking and I spotted what looked like a seed growing in a bud. I then started looking closer and found multiple. I started hunting around the tray check everything out and then found the problem. One of my remaining plants went hermie on me and had already released the pollen. Very few male flowers but obviously enough. This was the last draw for me. They were looking shitty anyway and Im sick of dealing with all these problems. So I hacked em down. Im vegging some Pk and green crack right now and forget the wonder woman. It just wasnt worth all the trouble and electricity for shitty seeded bud. BTW the PK that was on the tray looked awsome before I chopped her down sooo crystalized. Cant wait to see a tray full of that good genetics. This all taught me a great lesson on cleanliness and contamination in the grow room. Those spider mites really wrecked the grow quickly. From now on preventitive spraying and checking the leaves constantly is a must. I hope this trajedy in my room will help others not make the same mistakes that I made. Also From now on Im a clone guy. No more seeds for me. You just dont know what your getting.

some growers say, they never have mites. i see others battle them on a constant basis. they just incorporate spraying all the way up to 3rd week flower. another way to kill these little shits is run your co2 all the way up to 10,000. it'll kill em for sure. problem is the eggs hatch within 10 days. clones are way faster. i grab em when i lollipop for flower. gives me a perpetual cycle.

Horribly sad to hear, but probably for the best. Can't wait for that purple kush crop. Funny enough, I recently made the decision to go clones only, because when I thought I was getting Sour OG, I actually got a few giant leafy something's, a purple plant that I'm pretty sure is purple kush and it's my favorite, and another plant I'm just not sure about. But my purple plant is outrageously crystally, early finishing, and the branches really pack on weight. I didn't clone it in time, but I would like to pursue growing a similar strain.

Damn Bro, I am so bummed for you. All that hard work. Atleast you are ready for the next one when you are done bombing/steralizing the room. With those clones make sure you dip them. I hold them upside down and dip them in azamax for about 30 seconds. Then I soak the medium in azamax for about 30 mins( submerge the pots or cube). Then follow up with foliar sparys of azamax or azatrol either will work. I also use greencure/sucrasheild and sm90. Just make sure you don't see one bug before you move them into your newly steralized room. Good luck man, just don't take them little fuckers lightly. I have never dealt with them, but it seems when someone gets them in their room, often they seem to show up again. I am not trying to freak you out, just want you to make every effort to irraticate those little bastards.I would share some herb if I could man.

...... them being inside during the summer time is no no no good!

I would also add that this is a great opportunity to thoroughly clean the whole shed and set off a pyrethrum bomb in there before trying to grow again. I had a mite infestation once, and the pyrethrum bomb in the room really helped. It's probably best to set off the pyrethrum bomb and then do your cleaning after the bomb has done its work. You can either clean your surfaces with H202 or a mild bleach solution. Also, always be very careful introducing new clones into your environment. This is almost always how people get mites in the first place. Their buddy has mites, gives them one of their clones and the mites are transplanted to the clean garden. I always quarantine new clones for at least a week or two to make sure they don't have any of the little bastards. Once you get rid of the mites, you'll really see the true potential of your strains. I know it's hard to start all over, but it's worth it to get rid of mites completely.

Im gonna try to save the mothers and current clones that are rooted and growing. If I cant get rid of the mites and keep the plants I willget rid of everything and start fresh. with new clones from blue sky and let the room sit for a couple of weeks spraying and sterilizing all through this timne period. I hope I dont have to ditch my mothers

both AzaMax and Azatrol are good products but a little pricey for my liking. So I found Mite-Rid that's produced in Australia so I know that none of the mites we have in Cal are immuned to this high concentrate neem oil. Its active ingredient is azadirachtin and supposedly has a stronger concentration than anything else on the market for about half the price of more expensive products. check it out when you get the chance- www.mite-rid.com
I wouldnt be reccommending it unless it truely worked.. didnt see any through my 2nd grow indoor after treating with Mite Rid

You can get azamaz at any hydro store, patrol works too. I have used both and have better results with azamaz. I have heard great things about the mite-rid too, but have no experience.

Also today when bleaching my room from top to bottom I realized something. Being an old shed the floor had pulled away from the wall at least 2 inches in some areas. Leaving a huge gap to the outside so I got some filler spray foam and sealed it up everywhere and took care of that. Hopefully that makes it harder for anything to enter the sacred shed grow. Thanks again everyone for all of the support and help it is much appreciated. Its great to have back up when trouble strikes. So much can be learned from you guys.

Weak bro, that totally sucks ass. Sorry about your luck, and yeah I'd bomb the fuck out of that shed and then clean everything down with bleach water hardcore. It's all about maintaining an environment that bugs do not find hospitable because it's so clean that it's basically sterilized. Cleanliness is next to godliness so they say.

Good call on the spray foam. You may want to put some pond liner on the floor too and cove it up around the walls to really seal up that floor. You might be able to use some adhesive to attach the pool liner, I stapled mine to two x fours and frames the floor of the room. It also helps if there is an overflow. They sell it at home depot. Just a thought if you haven't already.

I thought about that but I think it would be hard not to tear it with the casters plus if I have an overflow it will just run out on my lawn. No big deal. I would like to do some pergo flooring later to help seal the wood from wetness. Maybe between next round.

The shed is rollin. Seems to be bug free after the second application of neem oil. I will however keep applying for a while. I also ordered a product called floramite from ebay which I will be spraying the entire shed with. Theres a guy named mr budsman on there that sells avid, floramite, azatrol and other strong miticides if anyone has mite problems. The best thing is that he sells small amounts so you dont have to buy 200 dollars worth at a time. I scrubbed down the shed from top to bottom with a strong bleach mix including the inside of the veg area. I reorganized and sanitized every bottle, tool, ballast, and ph pen on the shelf above the veg area all sprayed with bleach and wiped down. Looks so empty right now. Much emptier than it should be at this point. At least I cant find a live mite.

The clones are looking happy in the new 6 inch cubes. They still show signs of the abuse frome the mites but not bad at all. I cant wait to throw them on the tray and let them go. Also got a little dehumidifier for the veg area to help with the cloning and early veg. One downfall of having the veg area inside the flower room is that the climate control is one and the same. Sometimes not optimal but it works. Ill just take clones when the big girls are 1-2 weeks into flower that way I can keep the humidity up for a couple weeks before the buds get fat.

Looking good, quickrip. The only thing I would add is to keep an eagle eye on those clones and mothers for any signs of mites. As I'm sure you know, even if you've managed to kill all of the adults, there could still be plenty of unhatched eggs hanging around. If you don't see any new ones for a couple of weeks, you're probably in the clear, but I wouldn't bet that you'll conquer them that easily. When I had them, I finally ended up taking clones of all my strains, destroying all of my adults, sending the clones to a friend's house for a couple of weeks where they could be closely watched and bombing and cleaning the room, before I was able to defeat them. After all that, I still found a single clone that had a few on it. I immediately trashed that one clone and I haven't seen any mites since. I hope it doesn't come to "scorched earth" for you, but keep an eye out. Here's hoping you get back on track soon.
