If you use a handle on RIU that you use elswhere on the web try this....
Google your RIU nickname, go through the results and see how many steps it takes before you get to personally identifiable information.....
Why doesnt RIU close the posts section so that they cant be indexed or cached by google etc, seems to me like RIU doesnt really care about your privacy.....
Im glad now that i chose a random handle... but spare a thought for those people that use there usual handle's.... silly silly.
You my friend are confusing ISP (internet service provider) with proxy and DNS.All you have to do.. is make sure you hide your IP footprint.. which isn't all that hard to do. I currently have my true IP routed through about 9 different routers.. some of which are even routed through my brother-in-law's business company.. and his network is professionally done by himself. He's certified through Microsoft.. as well as many other certificates. Anyhow, I know I have nothing to worry about when I want to hide my IP.
I don't have a normal "ISP" like the rest of you's. My ISP is completely custom. I don't go through an actual ISP for my internet service.. I use a fully customized account that has been setup via my brother in-law. Basically, in a nutshell.. I can surf the internet 24/7 all year long.. without ever having to worry about being tracked/traced.
It's fun to go to those 'Whats my IP' sites... because they never do get it right. It usually comes up as a bunch of jibberish.. hehe. Gotta love technology!
Anyhow, I know most of you are thinking "well shit, I wish I could do that." Well, you can!! You won't have anywhere near the amount of protection I have.. but if you happen to use wireless internet and have any neighbors that also use wireless internet.. you can always hijack their account. Not very hard to do..
Lastly, for those of you that don't have a lot of computer knowledge.. but you know how to use a proxy.. I would highly suggest using one. I use to use them all the time.. until I got my free account with my brother in-laws business network. The best ones to use as far as proxies go.. IMO, are the Socks4 and Socks5. They always seemed to be more stable and reliable when compared to HTTP proxies.
anyhow, its something you should really consider.. your IP is your identity when it comes to the internet.
No Identity... means your a ghost. I like being able to roam around and not be trackable/traceable
peace.
