That's the bane of free information...if most people would go and buy\check out a book on basic gardening...then most of the problems would be avoided in the first place...a lot of people will argue about the advice they get from the people on here...and then the super experienced growers confuse alot of people with stuff that isn't important on the basic cultivation level...just my two cents

if someone has a small 1-3 plant basic grow in the closet why the hell would u give someone advise to go spend thousands of dollars on shit when all they want is cheap personal smoke. some experienced growers tell peeps they need a shit ton of crap to grow. when in all reality it will grow with just a closet, a box fan and an hps with some soil. just becuz u have a 4000 + dollar setup doesnt mean everyone has to have one. im not saying its the best way to grow but it does work. lol. sorry i needed to vent on something. got a killer toothache.

I wouldn't advice spending that much... though you cannot simply expect to spend nothing.. a couple hundred bucks is wayyy good to get a successful grow. 2-300 is to start, anything below is asking for problems if you are not good with plants & the basics.. the more you spend the easier and better it becomes. & it pays for itself due to you not having to buy bud. I am $3.5k into my history of purchasing gear to grow, and have another $2k to go before I will be content.. I only grow 6 plants.

This is kinda what I am trying to say. I grew 1 plant. Turned out pretty good and I got a lot of good advice from RIU, but then ther were those mean people. They tell you how stupid you are when you make a mistake. I already know what I did wrong and I dont need some jerk-off rubbing it in my face. I suppose i shouldn't be so sensitive, but I come from a time were you respect the man beside you till he gives you a reason not too. If a guy is screwing up his plant for whatever reason(lack of light, too much nutes,etc...) we or you experienced growers should answer the question, even if you have heard it a 1000times. It is what it is, and we should be friends first. It's easy to hate, but it is also bad Karma. We all are stoners and have somethin in common and I bet if we were all at Hempfest in Seattle, we would be sitting in a big circle loading bowl after bowl enjoying each others company and product.

...but I also 100% agree with this. Can you turn up to a party and expect everyone to jump out of their seats to put a girl in your lap, a beer in your hand, and other things within arm's reach of you for you to walk out of the door just as quickly? And lots of people hijack completely irrelevant threads on their 1st or second post and just say 'this is my problem BLAHBLAHBLAHfixitforme' with no 'pictures or even a 'hello'.

Easy answer in part, the sticky threads are out-dated. There are many seeking information who start repetitive threads, when a simple google search would answer those questions. Many are simply either too lazy, stoned, or stupid...and therefore don't wish to do their own homework.Why is it that in every thread i look at there seems to be at least one person who out of nowhere just wants to start shit with everybody arent we all stoners just trying to grow plants to get high? Yes obviously some people know more than others. But none of us here are professionals at this even if youve been growing for years or grow for a dispensary. Unless you have your own seed company or have a never before cross pollinated strain named after you youre still just an amateur Marijuana grower. can we just go back to when someone asks a question they get a response that would answer the question or at least have a link to somewhere to get the answer or at least their own personal opinion?
