Found that my mist humidifier is attempting to clog my carbon filter. I use the filter outside the tent due to headroom and temps/humidity became unmanageable. Turns out the pre-filter was caked with talcum level powder. Removed it and airflow is fine for the time being but obviously this is going to foul my filter prematurely. BTW my filtered tapwater is around 170 PPM. Began looking into RO systems (preferably one that doesn't break the bank) but what I've seen so far is that most systems reintroduce beneficial minerals back into the water. Great for human consumption but not for mist type humidification. Seems like the powder-causing minerals being returned defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish here. As usual when I open a new can of worms I'm overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information. Wondering if anyone could kindly help narrow down my options or prod me in the right direction to resolve this dust issue. Additionally with these minerals being airborne they will certainly be captured by some sticky buds and eventually wind up in some lungs. That just doesn't seem good. Sorry the post got so long. Thanks.
