Romulan x Vortex

ok, so tomorrow I'll take a couple pics of the ones I'm gonna run, 3 males and 5 females I think. Anyway, I'm starting them into flower, and taking clones tomorrow, and get this party started. They are still pretty small, but I want to flower them in time, to find my keeper clone female in time to flower a couple clones this spring outside, so I'll have some to puff on all summer while the big summer one is growing!
I'm gonna use 2 males for now, so 1 more will be chucked. I'm gonna back cross this strain, and cross both males to my Romulan clone,and start working on my cubing project on my Rommy. I want a male Romulan like my female pheno, so I can eventually have stable Rommy seeds I can trust to yuse on a regular basis. Right now my Romulan cut is the ONLY strain that I'm maintaining in clone form to continue to grow for production. I'm working toward having all my outdoor grows to be from seed, no clones! I mean, yea, I could do it now, but not and know for sure that every plant will be a good yielder, and on outdoors, every plant has to count, when you can only grow 6.
I must be stoned......yep,...stoned. Smoking my Orange Romulan right now, and typing away....blah blah blah.......peace... till tomorrow....

What from the Romulan do you want to keep around in the BX ing and how does your original Romulan taste/smell? i personally would work toward the vortex high and see where the flavor and smell was at. I never grew any Romulan, i think ill try that this summer.

OK, Here's the keepers so far.There's one male there that really has my attention at this point, he's has a smell to him that is just dank as hell already. He was one of the later ones to show sex too, and he seems vigorous and healthy. There are 2 females that I'm really looking at as possible keepers as well, but we'll just have to wait and see.
There is one other male that I'm gonna use also,mainly to BX to my Rommy mommy. The other stinky male will be used for that and several other strains I want to cross it with. I don't usually use my F1 males to breed with, but without a male Rom I had no choice but to outcross it. I'm gonna look in my pack of A13 BX for a male too. Anyway, that's where that is, along with cloning them for later use. The pic at the end is a shot of my batch of Sour Space Queen I'm working on....YUM!

I like the ones you chose. The leafs look aot a like very sativa, seems like you have mostly 2 types best I can see any way I hope these are going to be keepers. Some times I wonder why I got into something that takes months to find out if you like it.And summer is more worse. No more rambling, rain stopped work time, 4 days of sun in 45 days the buds are still not rotting 3wks in to budding

booooo the Sour Space Queens were 3 weeks into flower, and threw a bunch of hermies and pollinated each other. I had to pull all 10 of em'. IDK how, but I got lucky and the fans pushed the pollen into the corner and kept it there, cause nothing else is pollinated,,,thank God! V-Rom updates soon.

Nope , not my cross, youm don't think something I crossed would do that do ya?! haha no, actually, I got it as a clone-only, and it ran fine outside and last time. I noticed alot of unstable behavior from it though. I don't know what could've caused it, the rest of the room is fine. Oh well, that's what happens now and then.

That's nice, but I'm trying to figure out what that vid has to do with MY breeding project? haha oh well.

OK, Here's a little interesting update. These 2 are number 1 and 2 phenos. Only reason they are 1 and 2 is just because they were the first ones potted up, no other reason really. Anyway, there is a pic of theose 2 phenos clones that are rooted and ready to go, if chosen. I ended up with #s 1-8 female phenos, and 2 males (not numbered), so 10 total that will be ran out of 16 I started with, out of 20 seeds I started with. Not too bad.
Now, out of these 8 females that have all been potted up, clones taken, and put into flower, there are 3 or 4 that I think are special already, that I'll be watching very closely. I'm hoping my favorite pheno will also be quicker, which is one reason I chose Vortex to outcross with. I'm hoping for a 45 day girl......I don't want much huh?
So far so good.....getting fun now!....

Hi Wheezer. Was wondering how the hermi slipped pasts you as seed but clone makes sense. And 45 days sounds like a ambitious goal for your summer but do able. For where I live 45 would be no problem especially from a clone. Don't want to hog your thread. Aloha
