Sucks dude because I have smoked a lot of Mazzar in my day and you're right its potent as fuck! Always gets me higher than a giraffes pussy.Went and got SN-203 today, which is Rosemary oil and a few other essential oils... all natural pesticide, non-systemic.
So I was talking to my buddy at Homegrown, and he had a theory that since I had a few mature ones that killed on my last treatment (less than a dozen), those could be responsible for the eggs and immature ones I'm seeing which might not be affected by the Imid, but don't seem to like coriander oil, or any other essential oil for that matter. So my plan is to give them another dunk, this time in the SNS203, tomorrow, and then spray down my tray and res with the SNS203 spray.
@Irieie - the effect they are having is a quick fading of the leaves, that almost gets to a point of chlorosis. My last run had it on a few plants, but I thought it was because they were too close to the light, but I really don't think that's what it was now. I think it was these buggers and I just didn't know.
Lot's of people had the Mazar and said they liked it and it was potent. I pulled a good yield last round too, about 25 ounces under 1000. I felt that it lacked in the terpene department, and I've heard that because the plant focuses on fighting off these buggers, that it can definitely have an effect on the final taste and look of the product.
My plants are in Day 10 of flower on a 63 day strain.
If you can't find root aphids then why do you want to treat them?? Find the source of the prob first then take action.......So my plant is exhibiting signs of root aphids (day 18 into flowering) and I have actually pulled some roots out from the sides of the container and inspected... they were healthy looking and I could not see any aphid around... wondering if the Bayer is still OK to use?
that's a very good question. I missed that part.If you can't find root aphids then why do you want to treat them?? Find the source of the prob first then take action.......
try some predator bugs that eat the aphids.Latest update.
Well, it looks like I'll never be rid of these until I tear down and sterilize, but the good news is that I feel like I can keep them safely contained for the remaining 7 weeks.
The SNS-203 as a foiliar is working wonders on the immature nymphs I see after the first flooding each day. I only see about less than a half dozen each day, but just knowing how these things live birth pregnant females, ONE root aphid is too many root aphids. But the SNS-203 annihilates these guys at this life stage.
I find it extremely interesting that some pesticides are ineffective at certain stages of this pest's life cycle.
I was not treating for them.. just wanted to have a product on hand if they did show their head (which I did find one crawling around the stem base on Friday the 19th) I have used the rosemary/clove oil (eco smart garden insect killer) but I see that the concentration is not as much as the SNS 203 .25% rosemary/.25% clove on eco as apposed to .56% /1.46%.. so don't know if it killed them all or not. I applied this on Friday and was going to do it again Monday or Tuesday. I am ordering nematodes as we speak as they will be able to be put into the soil at day 29/30 and hopefully help. I am keeping the nematodes for the next round and using them when I get the good seeds. Does anyone know if met 52 will kill nematodes as well as the root aphids? If you can't find root aphids then why do you want to treat them?? Find the source of the prob first then take action.......
drench the roots in mighty wash
then apply MET 52. its a biofungus that kills aphids in soil. but it takes about 2 weeks to innoculate soil and you have to spread the grains around as much as possible. best to pre-mix it into the soil before transplanting. search around this site and others like thcfamer and you will find loads of info. good luck.
you may want to take clones, start clean and throw out all existing soil. trust me its not with batteling during flowering. expect 10-25% yeilds.
or go chemy. i prefer to not smoke systemic chemicals in my flowers.
