Something is growing there. If it was nutrient staining then all of the roots would be stained. If you have been using a beneficial bacteria it could be an established culture. If the roots come off easily like they are mush then it's pythium. Any smell?

This is my first grow in general but also first dwc. Ive had a bunch of friends w grow rooms but all soil. DWC seems easier imo,
much less to remember as far as watering and nutrient schedules. I still managed to forget for 2 days past due when i was supposed to change water tho.... stoner move
It can be, so long as you keep nutrient temperatures down and don't let light in the buckets. With DWC you either get amazing results or epic failure lol.

Yea my buckets are black so the third day under light some stuff was starting down there and it was hot af. I cut a mold of the bucket out of cardboard then wrapped that in tinfoil and set it on top and now the res stays around 74 degrees.
I meant to ask, what is a benefitial bacteria??
Its got Natures Nectar(its nitrogen) Big Bloom from fox farm and hydroguard
