Round 2 - Its about time. A [Soil - CFL - Closet] Grow

Later on ASAP I am going to wrap a layer of black duct tape around all the cups... I can clearly see the soil line through the cup in the 4th pic, not good.

I was planning on killing 2 of them... I don't think its even worth it to try to separate them, I just planted them because there was extra seeds. Any suggestions on which 2, I was thinking the 2 on the sides.

Yeah I will definitely get better pictures tonight.

I still have not checked on them since the picture post yesterday, I try not to check on them all the freakn time like I used to haha.

yeah i cant stay out of the grow room for more than 12 hours, whenever i go out of town i go nutz. always gotta check up on em and see if theres anything i can do.. drives the wife nuts!! i like the quote in the signature skunk.. i use that line all the time!

yeah man.. your girl comes first though..remeber that... go do something sweet for her and when shes home spend time with her not the plants. you dont want to loose the love of a good woman because of your hobby!! also this is a good defense for your plants.. in case you two get in a fight she wont chuck your plants out into the street when your at work. or rat you out to the fuzz..yeah and definatly get her addicted to growing that way you share the same hobby.. i have to find a way to get my wife into it!!

Hahaha I still haven't had a fuckn girl friend since I started tokn bud, and doin other drugs... its been like almost 2 years god damn. Kinda wish I knew what it was like to have a gf to toke with haha.

The light over Chi, which was the only light over it, turned out to be a 23w... I thought it was 26w, I had to pull up the duct tape around the reflector to check, thats why I never looked before, but I switched it with a 26w energy star with the same sort of can reflector. I am almost positive this one is in the spectrum needed for flowering, the bulb has a redish orange tint when I stare at it. At least it is energy star so better light penetration, which is really needed because Chi is only getting this 1 CFL at the moment.

Looking at the deficiency table... I think there is a phosphorous deficiency in the soil... Cannabis Nutrient and Deficiency Table . I am not gonna mess with anything though, but the symptoms do match up. I will check the bag of miracle not grow later haha and see how much phosphorous is in it, just because I am curious.

So far there has not been any noticeable growth where I topped yesterday.

anddd Alpha is ONE FUCKED UP PLANT i think it is starting to grow 2 very deformed heads... I can not tell, it is completely deformed and stunted... still alive and surprisingly has a set of healthish leafs haha. I wanna keep growing it now to see what the hell its gonna do, its almost 3 weeks old with 2 sets of leafs, 1 set completely dead.

hey skunk nice cloning chamber!! as far as suprising the girl.. give her the fruit basket..(pun intended) haha.. no if your like me and rarley suprise her. randomly bring her some flowers.. shell love it and the next time she is two seconds away from tossing the plants shell think about that one time you bought her flowers for no reason and probably go cook you something.. but seriously thats my last thought on this subject back to growing.... skunk do you have a grow journal i can check out. id like to get some cloning tips from you as i have limited experience with this and need to get on the ball as far as cloning goes!!

lol i use to but lost the link to it i somehow deleted it in my "my roll it up" lol ... but i can help u .. just ask me some ? and ill preoceed to give u my knowledge bro!!!! i fuked up sevrel times .. but i have come up with a 100percent clone rate now its marvelous! Haha I think I figured out what the hell was up with greenweed... he probably thought I was young because of things I used to rig the setup... goosebumps books, gameboy advance box, pokemon deck boxes... etc... maybe he just jumped to conclusions or something I dont know, but the reason that stuff is there is because its in my closet, thats where all my child hood junk is obviously... when I need to raise or lower something slightly I look for something sturdy, wide enough, and not too tall, just so happens pokemon boxes and books are the best available solution... thats right there behind the setup.

anyways... the high lows for the last few days was a low of 68, and a high of just under 80.

I made a few changes as well as changing the light to 18/6 a few days ago, I also left the bottom of the door unsealed with towels now, and I have my window open as much as possible since I smoke in my room.

Still no growth whatsoever where I topped yesterday, but the branches to the side perked up quite a bit. It was extremely hard to get a close up because of those 2 branches, the camera lens was literally pushing down against the branches and touching the top... I had to just use rapid shoot with a fixed focus and hope one of the many many pics was in focus... so I did the best I could... I could only get an above image... there isn't much to see though, I may have messed up, we will see haha, I am pretty anxious to see what happens.

the plant that was topped was Beta, the second picture is Beta and Chi, 3rd is a close up, I have a lot more but that was the best... I can post more if wanted I just ran out of attachment room. 4th picture is of Chi, and the last is Alpha... so messed up haha.

I just thought I would add... its most apparent on Chi but every set of older leaves turns yellow and dies in a few days... only the few newest sets of leaves stay healthy, new ones grow and then the old healthy ones die... is it going to be bad having so much dead leafs... is it going to drastically affect flowering outcome? I think the leaves could be dieing due to lack of light or because its in miracle grow, but the other plants seem to be doing much better... so I would tend to weigh towards lack of light penetration... hopefuly it changes with the bulb switch I made yesterday, if not I may slightly rearrange the setup to add another light over it.


So heres a few of my to dos:
-Name 3 cups of sprouts
-Germinate 3 sour apple seeds
-Buy new soil
-Wrap all the pots with black duct tape... I was thinking of wraping mylar around the duct tape, just so the black doesn't kill all the light that hits the side of the pot, just whatever passes through the mylar... but I don't know, doesn't seem like that would give any lighting benifits...
-Buy more black duct tape
-Seal sides of door so the bottom gap under the door is the only one.
-Fix lighting

I have also been aiming the fan more towards the plants in cups in the setup, the 2 of sprouts, and then beta and chi, getting the fan air to hit Alpha just went less air for all 4 of the others, Alphas dead to me, so I will just keep it under that 1 light, and keep the fan a bit further over where its needed... if that made sense haha.

yea whep a plant it takes like (from my own experience maybe like 5 or 6 days b4 u start seeing stuff happening ....but othan that man lookin good pokemon! i use to love that shit in like 7th grade! (im now 21) and draw the,m and ripp lil kids off for their goo dcards hahah i was bad but hey i was like 12 lol yay! go pickachu!

The plants are liking the can reflectors a lot, Chi grew a lot over night, so I majorly changed around the setup. Alpha was backwards transplanted back into a small cup... it will die, I just want to see how much fuck ups a plant can take before it dies, I transplanted it the best I could into a smaller red cup, but eh it will probably die.

I changed CFLs around, moved the lights around, moved the whole setup to the left under the hood, instead of slightly in the middle, theres a lot more room now that its shoved left, and I was able to fit the goosenecks... man these plants need to get taller so I can raise the freakn hood up and could fit the goosenecks easily under it.

I changed the light over Beta (the one I topped) so that its just like Chi's was.

Still haven't bought the soil... I am a little low on money gotta go to the bank sometime... hmm.
