Rush Limbaugh HAD an addiction to Oxycontin derived from a back injury. Nothing new here. Oxycontin is a highly addictive narcotic that is easy to form a dependence upon. The Progressives will grab at anyone's misfortune to make their point ... and their point is: "Look at me, I am a member of the Compassionate Progressive Party, the party who will trash anyone who gets in the way of our Utopian, Marxist/fascist Dream!"

Chronic pain is no joke ... and neither is narcotic addiction brought about in search of pain relief.

Not sure what you mean by "card." Perhaps you could explain?

Also, you are confused as to what a conservative is. Ron Paul is a conservative and he's for ending the federal war on drugs. Conservatives are those folks, like myself, Sarah Palin, and Rush Limbaugh, who are for a smaller, less intrusive central government, free markets, free minds and individual liberty.

The folks in the Republican Party that you are confusing with conservatives are actually Progressives who want a larger, more powerful central government. John McCain would be a good example.

It would be wise of you to learn the difference, it would really help you unravel the political landscape.

Yeah, land of the free. But if its so free why is 25% of the worlds prison population housed in the US? I dont feel safe in this country. The cops have never helped me out. I did 2 years in prison on a 5 year sentence for LSD. First offence. My sisters boyfriend set me up. Why do you support people who want to put you in a concrete cell block? Are you just too dizzy or what?

I just meant the "drug card", like how he gets on peoples cases about abusing drugs (a legitimate concern), while being the "victim" of drug abuse himself, it just seems really hypocritical, that's all. I specifically remember him commenting on Michael Phelps' marijuana "abuse".

I agree with you also about the "conservative" republicans who do not stand for traditional conservative values. I was just using the term because that's what they call themselves, conservatives, all those guys on Fox News.

I would not call Rush or Palin a conservative. I think they're the kind of people who don't say a word if they're the ones with the power and control, but as soon as the other party holds it they become speaker boxes of opposition. I'd bet my paycheck on it that neither of them would be as outspoken against the increase of government if the GOP was holding the torch.

But wait ... Rush HAS opposed the Progressive Republicans, he does it all the time. And remember, Sarah Palin cleaned out the Republican corruption in her state. The left-leaning Republicans are scared shitless of Palin. That's why they have attacked her from the time she ran for office in Alaska, to this very day. I'd say that both lean more toward the libertarian side of things.

no rush didnt say it. its made up. i have been listening to rush for a long time and he has never made fun of someone with a drug problem. just the opposite. whenever he hears of someone who has been addicted he always wishes them luck. but hey, your mind is poisened and you wont believe me anyway. goes with the territory...:sad:

So, Obama sends aid to Haiti, and gains some political points for it (depending on your perspective). Does that mean that that was his motive? I don't think so. They've been hit hard and we're helping them out. What's he supposed to do - not help them because it might look like he's trying to impress voters? If I see an old lady who's fallen, should I consider not helping her up because the people watching might think I'm trying to impress them?

Limbaugh on the other hand, is using this for his own gain (another excuse to bitch and whine about liberals, and to grab some attention/ratings). What other reason would he have. He can't even let his personal problems with anyone who's not conservative go, even at a time like this. He has a huge audience, and it's pretty pathetic for him to tell all of those people to not bother helping. He's an asshole.

yes, and if anything you are accusing him of were true, i would agree with you. but you still wont listen. everyone of his shows is available for download. go listen to the show when he supposedly said "it". you will find you are wrong. but you wont do that because YOU dont want the truth. you want the packaged lie you were told about the man. ignorance is bliss....and thats why we, the vast majority of american people, are going to crush liberalism in the fall. can you say goodnight johnboy? cuz the libs are gonna get sent packin.

He used it as a way to attack Obama. He said that the Obama White House would use the catastrophe in Haiti to burnish the president's standing and credibility with the black community, in the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community, in this country. "It's made-to-order for 'em. That's why he couldn't wait to get out there. Could not wait to get out there".
I will admit that he didn't tell people not to help at all, just that they should not donate through the website that the government set up to take donations. He said that we've already donated - through our income taxes.
Sure sounds like someone using this for his own gain. Like I said, it's an excuse for even more bitching and whining about liberals, and gives him more attention/ratings.

These are quotes from the news. I'm not going to go download his show. Maybe they're lies? Part of the big liberal conspiracy? I listen to his show occasionally when I'm driving, and those quotes don't seem out of place coming from him IMO.

Congratulations on your big win. It's bound to happen eventually. Maybe you've noticed the big picture - power keeps going back and forth between the sides. Every time one side gets more power, the dedicated partisans of that side practically break their arms patting themselves on the back - the american people have spoken, they've seen the light, we're so smart and righteous, blah blah blah... Unfortunately, there's a ton of bullshit that stays exactly the same, no matter which side has control. But, congratulations on your win, I'm sure your guys have it all figured out. It's going to be paradise.

and i think alot of people are realizing dem's and repub's are ONE AND THE SAME it seems all the propaganda is designed for the public's benefit and in the back room they're having drinks and laughing at our expense
the public is starting to lean towards the simplistic way that the constitution can be viewed-the way that 90% of us were taught in high school-it makes sense and it works
