Sad's Perpetual Growhouse: Indicas, Stativas & A Bunch of Madness!!!

I have been working on building spaces in my attic but I am the only person who actually works on it so that project is slow moving. Took a while to get power ran up there and everything really insulated. Now I just have to build the boxes themselves and so on. My goal is to be ready by summer.

edit: The light leaks I refer to are so minimal, unless you’ve got this thing out in the sun it’s probably fine tbf.

Got a couple things going on the garden today....

I started to notice some yellowing ( a tint anyways ) on my Blue Dream. Something I will be keeping a close eye on. I am almost into week 6 of flower now on her so this may just be a start of her fade. I plan on hitting most of the plants heading into week 6 with a heavy flush followed by a feed. The longer running Durban and I believe the Girl Scout Cookies have a longer flower time so they wont be getting it just yet. Back to the Blue Dream. She also has many of her pistols starting to turn red too. Still at least 2 weeks left at minimum.

Blue Cookies is now in heavy flower. Very noticeable bud growth by the day. Also producing heavy trichomes on the leaves too. Still not much happening with any of her leaves though. I expect another week before I start to see a fade starting to kick in. Pistols are also starting to turn red too.

Early Skunk F4 #1 is really stacking her buds up. She is supposed to have a very early flowering time as well. Still not much going on in trichome production. Smell is very strong coming off her. Probably the most of all the strains going right now. Hopefully I start seeing some changes within the next week on her.

ES F4 #2 is the short version of #1. I believe topping this strain multiple times may have caused a lower bud production. Looks that way anyways compared to #1 that I topped much less. Interested to see when they dry the final weights. Besides a potent very skunky smell, I dont have much hope for this strain. She is an interesting plant as their leaves are the narrowest I've seen personally on a plant. Maybe her smoke will surprise me. We will know once I provide a smoke report on her down the road.

Durban Poison is starting to stack up as well. Still got a very long time left even though we are headed into week 6 soon. Other then that there's not much else to report on her.

Girl Scout Cookies has a little yellowing on her lowest leaves. Nothing I am really concerned with as it's about 3 leaves at the very bottom. I'll keep an eye out on her though just in case. She does have heavy trichome production and is still popping pistols out left and right. She throws a strong smell once my lights kick off.

The last of my plants headed into week 6 is a plant I have harvested before then put back into veg. She is my Bubblicious. I know I can bring her down between 8-9 weeks. Of all the plants, she looks to be the furthest along of them all. Nice trichome production, her buds are really starting to fatten up too. Alot of her pistols have turned red too. Once I harvest, back into veg she goes.



Finally in my 2x4....besides strecthing the only think I can report is I snapped a stem a little on my Critical when bending down to even the canopy. It didn't break completely so I do expect it to recover without any problems. I'll start providing more details once their stretches stop and bud production starts.

It's funny when I look back at my old plants. Sure have came a long way from where I was when I had these plants growing.

Did some training on one of my plants. I am trying to make 2 lines going up to 2 colas for each side on the line. Should have a total of 8 colas in all. The plant has taken to the training already as she has responded and is pointing to the light in less then 24 hours. I was thinking to top again to double the cola count, but I am not transplanting this plant so 16 might have taken up too much space. In a day or two, I'll come back the the lines and pull them down even more to make them as even as possible. Looking to have them parallel with the soil. *Note* I did knock off any growth besides the 2 growths at the end of each line. I am using the 2nd and 3rd true nodes for this.

You can top anytime to get those 8 mains You could’ve done it right at those first nodes, about 4 inches up the stems

I find the earlier you can set the training the better support you’ll get through the grow. I topped a bit late this grow and I’ve got some lankier arms than usual.

I had to take 4 and 5 off but I didn't plan to do this so that's why it was so late. I am looking to see if there's a difference in cola size since I am using a main line from 2 different nodes.

That's what I like about solo grows....helps me learn a lot by how the plant reacts to different modifications. I have a feeling 4 colas will be nice and fat with the top 4 colas being smaller since it's on a higher node. Obviously my plans are to get 8 even colas, so if that works, my next grow, I'd so the same thing but I'd top the living hell out of it to drive the cola count up some.

Then from seed I found an old one , not as exact as u but a similar idea

It's kind of the same idea. I removed all of the side branching growth. Instead of having a "Y" like yours, my lines will be more parallel with the soil.

My plans over the next few days in the garden...

Since I am starting to hit the back half of flowering on a few of my plants, I want to start getting them ready for harvest. I still have a good 2-3 weeks left though. Anyways, I'll go in and give them a nice defoliation. I don't go to crazy when it comes to this. Anything really blocking any site from midway to the top will get cut. I want my buds getting direct light in these finals weeks. Since I am in 3 gallon fabric pots, I will also flush the plants too. ( Just the ones that I believe will be ready around week 8 & 9 ). Now, this topic is debatable but I don't flush as in stop feeding nutrients. I like to give my soil a nice cleaning. This is the flush I am referring to. I personally use 2 times my pot size to figure out how much water I need. So since I am in 3 gallons, I use 6 gallons of water for the plant's flush. The first 5 gallons of water is nothing but water only. I take my time doing this. Whatever kind of build ups I have of salt and other useless things will be flushed away. The final gallon I like to run a normal strength feed as well. The plant more then likely doesn't need it but it's something I like to do and have been doing for my past few grows. As long as you water with run off throughout the plants cycles, you really don't need to do this but just a habit for me I guess. I'll also start cutting back on the hours per day the plants get light. I normally knock off 1 hour per week from this moment to harvest. 6 weeks is my start time. So 12/12 now, then 11/13 next week and so on. Right now my current temps are as follows. 75f-80f & 40-50% RH lights on. 70f-75f & 30-40% lights off. I bounce in the middle of the numbers but never over or under. I'll start dropping my temps a little too. I personally go around 75f & 35% RH lights on and around 65f & 30% RH lights off. I like to see what colors I can get.
