They are very good! I never tried that salt water taffy that you guys are talking about, but those will do for now lol
Yes, the heat is too much. The louder profile of rosin might be due to terps steaming since fresh flowers are being used. Break down the bud and there might be less surface area, less pockets and moisture to gather attempting steam which might lead to a lack in flavonoid. Not sure how good it tastes (350 degrees is one hell of a decarb right?)
when you extract rosin from hash it is wrapped in a screen then pressed in parchment paper, the clear shatter-like rosin runs out of the screen in a ring around the left over plant matter from the hash. this method does have a very high yield because you are extracting from an extract. as for the salt water hash, i think it sounds like a good idea, salt is water soluble, the extract is not. This would allow for a much colder water temp(freezing temp would be 28.4 degrees Fahrenheit vs 32 degrees Fahrenheit. you'd probably just want to rinse it with clean water before drying.I just don't understand how rosin comes out shatterish and not more like water hash, I'd like to try it but have no idea how to do it
GETS BETTER EVERY YEARThe progress is never ending! I think when I started this thread, people were still using straightening irons lol, my the times change quickly
I'm not positive, it depends on how much surface area the press has. Measure your hair iron surface, then see what the surface is on the press. I'd imagine if you press 1 gram with a iron that has 12" of square surface area, and the press is 10x bigger, I'd say 10 gramsanyone know how much you can press with a Tshirt press?
i just mastered the flat iron, but i have a lot of lower grade bubble i would like to press, but not at a gram a time.
