Ahhhh I see now. Thank you.
For a 4 x 4 using single row strips would I need 6 or 7 strips and a HLG-320H? This would be for flower. I was figuring on making the frame 3' x 3' or slightly larger. Thanks for all the good info. The output in your most recent post sounds awesome.Well he has a 3x3 build that uses the double row strips, and one using the single row strips. Im using the single row strips. The double row strips have twice the forward voltage because they're twice the power (so therefore twice the flux as well). So if you went with the double row strips, you'd only need 5 strips instead of 10, and you'd use the HLG-320H-48 driver instead of the HLG-320H-24 driver.
You'll want more power. I would do like 15 single row strips and an HLG 480h-24aFor a 4 x 4 using single row strips would I need 6 or 7 strips and a HLG-320H? This would be for flower. Oh did he just want to flower a 3x3 space but in a 4x4 tent?Seeing you want to flower a 3x3 space I'd suggest a HLG-320H-24 with 10-12 single strips. That would get you about 35 watts a sq. ft. for flower of 3,000k.
Don't ya wish you had just bought a blurple. Take that thing out to the back yard, then you'll really see how bright it is! LOL.This light is rediculous lol, I haven't mapped out a complete PPFD chart for 36" distance but i'm getting 500-550 umol/s at that distance everywhere. 3 feet away!!!!!! That is unbelieveable. Shout out to the naysayers saying LEDs can't penetrate deeeeeeeeep down. cough yodaweed cough.
No. 4x4. Thanks for the help. DigiKey for strips?Oh did he just want to flower a 3x3 space but in a 4x4 tent?
Yes sorry, though we were talking to OP. My 4x4 build is 17 strips ran by 2 HLG-240's.Oh did he just want to flower a 3x3 space but in a 4x4 tent?

So 40 watts a sq. ft. How does that work? I only ask because at that wattage a sq. ft. of HID's I'm in the 1 gram a watt range.I use 3 to 4 double row strips on 2x4 on a 320W.
Damn - 17 Samsung 22" or 44" strips?Yes sorry, though we were talking to OP. My 4x4 build is 17 strips ran by 2 HLG-240's.
As much as I want to get away from them - 1000 Watt HPS can kick some ass and pull real(big) numbers.Yes, from a 600W.
But at low power HID's suck in my opinion. I have a few 400W ballasts rusting around here somewhere.GML did give the dry and wet weights from his LED vs HPS growoff this past weekend on the show.
Sorry, that's for single strips of 22 "Damn - 17 Samsung 22" or 44" strips?
The 44" strips on DigiKey if you buy 10 is about $25.06. For a 4x4 - my other option might be 6 Sunboards/Wavy for $50 each. I think 6 boards are comparable to 1000 watt HPS SE running an HLG-480???. This would be $50 a board or $300. I am not sure what he charges for freight. Samsung 44" strips 12 at $25.06 = $300.72.
I sketched out a frame for the 6 Sunboards which seems pretty simple and a little easier than a frame for 12 to 17 Samsung 44" strips. Some guy attached his Samsung strips to pie pans then to frames.

Yes, but I was pulling a gram a watt from a 400 HPS 20+ years ago. I still run a 250w and 400w MH in my veg rooms plus a 600 and a 750 DE in my flower rooms and do quite well with them.Yes, from a 600W.
