Right, here are the pictures. Starting with the furthest along in flowering. This is the Sugar Punch I will name Small Bushy; vegged for about 12 weeks. She has been under 12/12 for 4 weeks (28 days).

I think she may be the same pheno as Stinky Girl (the super silver haze but sweetened pheno), not 100% certain yet though, she almost smells too sweet and not skunky enough. The structure after the lst reminds me of Q-bert, really cool. She's eating the nutes right now - 20ml of 'grow' 20ml of 'bloom' and 10ml of 'alg-a-mix' in 10 litres of water every 4/5 days. I will up the dose slightly as she is handling it and showing slight yellowing. Height is nice and short, will measure and give her height next time.

Next up is the Sugar Punch I will name Big Bushy. She was vegged for 14.5 weeks, and has been under 12/12 now for 17 days.

She is huge. I'm pretty sure she's a sativa dominant pheno. Too early to tell if she's the same as tall hazey lady; my first thoughts are that she's slightly different. Training her seems to be working so far. I used the pipe cleaner and fishing weight trick to control one top that seemed keen to run away, and it seems controlled now. She's been coping with the same level of nutes as her sister; but every 3 days. I predict she will be hard to keep fed as she begins to flower properly; I'm prepared to try my hardest though. She will be getting more veg nutes and some extra 'cal-mag' next feed. Very much looking forward to seeing what she looks like in two weeks. Seems like 4 weeks of 12/12 gives you a good idea of how these plants will end up.

how much foxtailing are you getting ? If any are the castles stacking up or a bunch of single flowers on an extended stalk

And here are are some of the Kolossus. 8 weeks veg with lst. Been under 12/12 for 3 days. I'm hoping she isn't the stretchy pheno. Most phenos of Kolossus stretch double at the absolute max in my experience. The rare stretchy pheno is one I've only seen once (from about 15 grown), and is by far my favourite - but is not what I need now. we shall see. Super healthy looking Indica though, really dark leaves - makes the lighter coloured fresh growth look almost lime green.

Thanks man. Appreciated.

My first attempt at lst. I put the entire pack in to germinate, not expecting 100% germination rate; they all cracked. So I kept the other two I wasn't ready to flower and trained them in a temporary veg area. So cool to see them develop their shape in flower. :-)

Too early to tell. I think it's gonna be the latter.

The castle description sounds like Stinky Girl, the latter description sounds like Tall Hazey Lady (from in this grow). The other pheno (Stinky's sister), although lovely smelling, is the weak pheno in my opinion.

But yeah, too early for foxtailing on the bushy girls. Had it like mad on the two mentioned above from the previous flower run.

Nice job on LST-ing Small Bushy, she looks great!

I got one Kolossus in my closet at 11 days 12/12, no major strecthing yet so I hope she won't get too tall. Somehow the leaves feel weak and thin even though they look perfectly healthy. Never had that before, they even seem to weigh less, and my other 5 plants, though a different strain, aren't like that either. Is that something you ever noticed too with your kolossus?

Thanks man! :-)

One thing I have learnt with the Kolossus is that they need high doses of nutes right through their life. I've been giving this one 30ml of Bio bizz 'Grow' during veg, along with 5ml of 'Alg-A-Mix' in 10 litres of water, every watering. Dropped it out and just gave 15ml of 'Alg-A-Mix' in 10 litres for the last feed before flipping to 12/12 (due to them being so green). She also got some 'Cal/Mag' occasionally. I will drop the level of 'Grow' down to about 15-20ml and bring in 15-20ml of 'Bloom' too, I will use 5ml of 'Cal/mag' for the first 2 weeks of 12/12, then stop that and gradually up the levels of 'Bloom' (I expect a maximum each feed of about 20ml 'Grow' and 30ml 'Bloom' in 10 litres water going on past experience - there are 8, 9 and 10 week phenos, I aim to just notice slight nute burn about week 6/7 so I can then flush without experiencing too much yellowing) She will also get a little bit more 'Cal/mag' about week 5/6 depending on which pheno I ID her as.

My first couple of grows with Kolossus I didn't use the 'Alg-A-Mix' and the plants certainly didn't thrive as much. I think they are just so eager to feed heavy that they need the micro nutrients in the 'Alg-A-Mix'. Just checked my leaves on my current one and they are really thick and healthy. I do know what you are talking about with Kolossus leaves being a bit weak, as I have seen it before myself; but I simply don't have it this time. The only differences I can think of are the 'Alg-A-Mix' and to a lesser extent the 'Cal/Mag' (or maybe just this one being a great pheno). They always produce well, even the lighter leaf ones - this grow give a good chance to see how one with strong and vivid green leaves does in flower.

If you haven't got any micro nutrients might be worth looking into that to try and beef up your leaves. Also don't be scared to feed them, they love it. :-)

Hey thanks for the extensive answer :)

I'm using a diy hydroponic system with 5xliberty haze and 1x kolossus, all using the same reservoir with nutes solution so apart from some extra foliar spray I can't give it extra. That might just do it though, I'm using a large portion of the H&G line, including Magic Green foliare spray. Good to know she can handle nutes well, I use a very low dose and could give the kolossus the normal dose to see if that changes anything.

I haven't used any cal-mag additives yet, I suspect there is plenty in my tap and bottled spa water, and I also let the ph drift up. bit for a day or two so they can feed easier on mag. So far so good :)

I was a bit slack about weighing Tall Hazey Lady. Been smoking her all week, plus I gifted some to a mate, and had to take out 10.5g for another mate. Weighed what was left last night and there was 3.25oz of fully dried hazey heaven. I think she probably yielded about 4oz all told - pretty impressive I think with only 4 weeks veg and no training. Very excited to see what her shorter but big bushy sister does. Would be a great pheno for screen of green. Could fill a metre square screen with one plant if you vegged it for 6 weeks; pull 10oz from it potentially.

Some new pictures. Firstly Little Bushy (Q-Bert). This is day 35 of 12/12 after 12 weeks veg with multiple lst tie downs. I'm certain now that she's the same pheno as Stinky Girl - the cheese/haze/caramel marshmallow candy pheno that people say is like a really good sweet Super Silver Haze. Very happy about this, as she is a delicious, strong plant. Really great structure to her now, very solid and strong. Looking forward to seeing how much she yields.

Next up is Big Bushy (Pale Face). This is day 24 of 12/12 after 14 weeks of veg with multiple lst tie downs. I'm still very curious about this girl. My initial thoughts were that she was the sativa dominant pheno, like Tall Hazey Lady from earlier in this thread. There are certainly characteristics this one shares with her, but there are also differences. She has the large size, and thin sativa leaves, and even has the issue of loosing leaves to heavy yellowing after switching to 12/12 (whilst the buds become lush green), and the slight colour to her calxys already. But then she smells completely different. There is that fruity/berry haze quality, but it's overridden by a very strong chemical smell. It's not really fuel, more solvent, sort of like an organic glue if that makes sense. It's very very strong - so chemically strong that it almost troubles the senses (in a good way though, you keep going back for another sniff to try and figure out where you know the smell from). She also has some brown pistils already - considering the other sativa pheno went 12 weeks and I still took her early, this is curious.

DSCN0709.jpgDSCN0711.jpgDSCN0713.jpgDSCN0715.jpgDSCN0717.jpgDSCN0718.jpgDSCN0723.jpg

Very nice plant though. Check out the main stem tie down, with the top that's got multiple heads (final picture in the sequence). I nearly trimmed that top down by removing some branches to give room to the heads, but decided against it. Glad I did. She separated herself out perfectly - signifying occasionally that she needed leaves removing by yellowing them. I'm looking forward to seeing how she ends up, but my thoughts so far are that lst is a great grow method. You can almost read the signals the plant gives to you and help it exploit the space it has perfectly. There is horizontal branch on her that has buds going all along it - I had to look through the growth to see what it was coming from. Amazing. :-)

And finally the trained Kolossus at day 16 of 12/12. Such lush green indica compared to the Sugar Punch. Really healthy and vital, starting to develop a slight citrus smell. Tallest plant in the tent now as she was only tied down once using lst. Pretty sure she will stop stretching within a few days though, even the rare stretchy pheno only stretches for 3 weeks max.
