Sannies 'Sugar Punch' grow.

Here's the pics of Q-Bert from today. This is day 59 of 12/12. I watered her today for the final time. She got 20 litres of plane water, followed by 10 litres of water with 15ml of BioBizz 'Bloom' and 5ml of 'AlgAMix' just to keep the organics going for the final few days. The tester smoke is smooth, so I'm happy with this. Trichs are mostly cloudy, not seen any amber - and this is how I want to harvest. Probably harvesting her Wednesday.

Such lovely 'Mr Whippy' Ice Cream buds - with that sweet creamy cheese smell. :-)

Nice post! Thanks for sharing.
You're most welcome. And thanks for sharing yourself man, really one of my favorite threads at RIU. This talk about Sativas vs Indicas yield is making me wonder if my liberty haze are more sativa dom phenos then 'advertised' - it would explain the bud formation... even the buds are stretchy. Smell is improving but nothing like my previous round with Sugar Punch. SP is supposedly available again within a few weeks. Definitely going to get her again for a future grow. Besides the taste and smell she also was a real pleasure to grow.

I like your harvesting approach as well. As I mentioned in another post I will have a professional test done soon (probably on the kolossus) no amber vs little amber vs lot of amber. I suspect the old parroted dutch approach (20-30% amber) is too late. But I too want to max the 'high' effect. Sure it adds more weight but I care more about quality and effect. Anyway, will let you know when I get the test results.

I'm used to either a lemon haze or what I think of as a chronic pheno, this one is really sour skunk with herbal notes.
I'm not a big fan of too much lemon (bought some harvest from a friend recently and it smelled more lemon than weed), but I partly got it for the variation in which case some lemon now and then would be nice :)

Hey Kite I saw in that article that in vs out trich or "resin Glands" are different and indoor should be pulled while still clear if I understand right?

Well the last SSH pheno was a little too stoney for me, certainly not lacking in strength from being pulled with 5% amber though. Like I say, almost too strong. I must say I prefer the rushier, trippier effects, so have always tended to chop earlier rather than later. The logic of waiting for 30% amber always troubled me anyway though - if the argument that amber is degrading thc, then I felt chopping with 30% would result in further degradation after harvest. But as I prefer rushier effects its not something I feel I have ever had to live with the impact of. One thing I will say about my last flower run and the longer flowered girls - my yields were up on average (although that could be the strain too).

I have had some strains that flowered too long the high makes you feel dumb if that makes sense.
I think I read the THC degrades to CBN or something?
Either way for me it wasnt desirable.
Some strains dont give that fogginess and retarded feeling with 10+% amber, so it might be somewhat strain dependent

Ha ha - yeah I know exactly what you're talking about. I just hit a bong, and I can still type this message and develop thoughts as I do so. So an 8 week SSH pheno Sugar Punch is highly functional, whilst still being freakishly strong and rushy.

I had a vanilla kush I took to eleven weeks and that just numbed my ability to logically reason. It was properly strong indica though, a mate lost all sensation in his body after 2 big bong hits one after the other (and said he was just a disembodied head for a while later lol). But yeah, we couldn't converse at the time. And we're both smart people. That's why I prefer sativa. I can walk around high as a kite all day every day on good sativa, with only a few people even noticing.

With that said however, you won't hear any complaints from me when the kolossus is ready and I can have some late night smoke. Everything has its place after all! :-)

My Dr Atomic Northern Lights flowered 65 days.
Some of the buds must be more mature as they give that feeling that you cannot even connect with the movie on tv etc...
I love indicas, and the ones I prefer def do not make me numb to the world around me, but just make it more soothing and comfortable.
I am gonna try the NL again outdoors and try to pull her sooner than the indoor one and aim for the clear relaxing high.

That trich/resin gland article is proper food for thought. Based on it, there's no way Big Bushy is going any longer than 8 weeks - and she looks really sativa. I'm pretty amazed at how fast maturing she is. Puts me in mind of what I read about Cinderella99. The buds/colas are heavy too, when you waggle the branch they are hefty. She might just have to be the first plant I stagger harvest, take all the colas first, then the rest a week or so later (and maybe reveg and take clones too).

my c99 went 8 weeks and has no real sativa qualities, maybe from too long of a flowering time

C99 is a much different strain. She kinda breaks all the rules. If you want the trippy she is famous for you should never pass 52 days before chop and in alot of cases she is done in 49.

Ta for the input about Cinderella. Sugar Punch does have C'99 in her genetics - within the 'Killer Queen' half of 'The One'. Killer Queen = C'99 X G13.

Well I'm gonna start my combination flush and low nute technique on Big Bushy, see how she looks next Saturday, which will be week 8. Hopefully she'll be trippy and rushy, she will definitely be tasty.

There are several dotted throughout this thread already. I'll do a full review and pop it in the relevant section once they're all done.

The sativa dominant, tall hazy lady, was the trippiest so far. They all give me low level visuals though. Real crazy peripheral vision shapes and movement. Plus colour enhancement and slight physical effects. :-)

I would love to know what the tall hazy lady pheno would be like if pulled earlier than I did. Say 10.5 instead of the 11.5 I took her too. That is for the future though (when the seeds are back in stock). :-)

Ok, Big Bushy is officially as heavy prior to needing a watering as the other two are after watering. Its confusing at first, kids you that she doesn't need watering, then you check the soil again and its bone dry. She is going to be a super yielder, easily my heaviest plant yet, and its likely to be the tastiest too. Pictures later! :-)
