thanks my girls were most likely showing hybrid vigor because they were f1's but i have a huge seed stock so im hoping i dont have to make f2's and just keep backcrossing for stability.until they hit week 5 flower they were under a 400w mh,then for their last 3 weeks i hooked up a 1000w mh to finish em off.i would have used the 1k for some veg and their whole flower but i actually didnt get it til week 5 when it was given to me for free.i believe that the 400 would have gotten close to the same yield though due to how good the ladies were performing in general coupled w/ the terryberry's density.
i think its a great idea to get more 100w's, its difficult to reach the "too much" light point with cfl's,i love em!depending on space and ur number of plants you could most likely do 4 or more 100's w/o the reflectors, just get some y-splitters and go town.
as far as containers last cycle i used 2 gal buckets (they were about 3/4 full with medium) and even on the healthiest biggest plant it was nowhere near rootbound which is something i worried about.some plants need even less root space with the pressure from their dense medium since making them prone to spread slower.btw whats the makeup of your schultz like?and are your other plants at the same stage as the plant in question?
