you don't have to take out the world just the major cities. focusing mainly on the shipping ports. once you do this the supply chain becomes broken and all the smaller cities start dying off. i'm pretty sure there is more than enough nukes on the planet to destroy life as we now know it.

You can destroy economies, yes, but the species? Not enough power there. Ruining civilization is not the same as destroying the world. cn
