Great stuff.

I've already read up on this topic previously and am now germinating my first seeds Critical + with an OG Kush.

This was/is a nice read however and has deepened my knowledge of an area I shall be working in for some time.

Thanks + Rep.

Yes, they will be inside the buds. The mother plant instead of producing THc will instead produce seeds when pollinated. Good luck having them seeds self made.

for sure +rep!! this thread is awesome.

I have a question for you all. I have an alien tec mom and I did some selective pollination almost 1 week ago today and I still don't see any sign of it taking. I used a q-tip and rolled it onto the pistils, then bagged the branches for 45min, removed and spayed sites with pure water. Some of the pistils are now brown and thin, but none are 100% brown and shriveld. 1/2 of the length of the pistil is brown and the other half (middle of pistil down to calayx) is still white and fluffy.

Looks almost like they are just brused from being pressed on and not actually pollinated. My guy say's the pollen is still good and was only 14 days old when he gave it to me. He says he has had success using it and that my plant must have a boron deficiency to not take pollen. Anyone else heard of this??? I fid it hard to believe a plant would abandon it's life's sole purpose all over 1 micronutrient.

Plant is 18 days flowering and 27 days into 12/12

What is the best way to store your seeds for long term use??? I have read a few opinions, just never found any clear, solid, true means of storage....

Just kidding. Great thread, all my questions were answered, as well as somr answers to questions I didn't know enough to wonder about.

I've been wanting to try making seeds for a while, i am definately going to save some pollen and give it a go!!!

Thanks !!

Great post. Thanks. When producing for seeds, do you leave the plant in 12-12? Also, do you keep your nutrients the same as for flowering sinsemilla, or do you adjust the nutes for growing seeds (adding more nitrogen, less PK?). I'm a total newbie at producing seeds. Thanks!

Leave it the same treat it as if you are feeding Buds, a bit more water sometimes if they are really drinking but everything else applies here, let them dry in between feedings!

Absolutely leave the plant in 12/12 while producing seeds! I tried to reveg after pollnation to kill two bird with one stone and ended up getting just immature seeds. Whatever flowering hormone is responsible for seed production ceases once you change 12/12. Two months later still had small green seeds.

I checked the seeds out after I harvested the other girls and they had just little bit of green left in the ends to crust over with shell so I am hoping to see another week or 2 of development and possibly more bud too. I have to admit it has been a long 2.5 months for me so when I plucked that first seed out of the pod and saw how dark and fat they were going to be I was very happy. Also we are doing a run on the some mom clones of the same strain and we will get a direct head to head of seeded vs non seeded Cannabis effects and differences, Fun!
