I don't know John. Never seen seedlings quite like that. The variegated light and dark color doesn't seem to be interveinal. No food at all yet? Some sort pf reaction to hot soil? Xtsho knows his shit...so just let her grow.

I've had plants grow like that early on. I just let them grow. They usually grow out of it and after a few weeks look perfectly normal. I don't know what causes it. I have my theories but no scientific proof so I'll just leave those theories to myself. Here's an extreme example of a plant I grew. It ended up growing normal. Plants can have health issues just like we do.

How about Tobacco Mosaic Virus TMV Doesn't that cause odd discoloration?

I don't know if TMV is prevalent in cannabis. People think they have it but they don't. There are people that would say the plant in the photo I posted had the Mosaic virus. But in reality as that plant grew the strange leaf growth went away and the plant grew just like any other cannabis plant and had normal leaves. Mosaic virus is systemic. It's not just going to go away after a few weeks. Also, there is no actual scientific proof that TMV can infect cannabis. There are claims it can but I have never seen any positive ID of TMV in cannabis done using actual science. Everything I've seen is just stoner science. If there is any actual scientific proof I would be very grateful if someone could provide it. I'm not saying 100% that cannabis can't get TMV but to this date I haven't seen anything reliable that says cannabis can or has. I've read some scholarly articles that were inconclusive with most of them being done on Hemp in China. I'd like to see a tissue sample result showing TMV in cannabis. If that exists I want to see it.

Not agreeing or disagreeing. I just haven't seen any actual proof that cannabis can be infected with TMV other than speculation on various cannabis related sites and we all know that those sources are not reliable.
