It’s a waterfall rdwc system. One pump runs from the reservoir to about 3/4 of the way up the grow bucket water dumps into grow bucket causing surface agitation. Water drains out 3” pvc back to reservoir. Top feed pump goes from reservoir to drip ring and is on a timer therefore 2 separate pumps

Kinda pointless really,your waterfalls should produce enough bubbles to keep the bottom layer of clay pebbles moist,roots will seek the moisture and grow out.By top feeding/watering roots dont need to grow they get what they need from your second pump.
Raise water level just below net pot , turn the second pump off.Roots need to get into the oxygenated water.Your second pump is delaying that.Your waterfalls should be creating a lot of bubbles,if not add an airstone.

Bull fucking shit. You're talking out of your ass. Net basket never touches water. Never It ALWAYS stays clear. Top feeding is perfect until roots hit the soup. It doesn't inhibit root growth and gravity takes care of the direction they go.

Your waterfall is specifically for aerating and oxygenating the solution. You don't need to see the air in it. It's there. Don't add airstones for any reason. They're trouble.

You clearly don’t have a clue do you. Net pot goes just above the water line so water can make its way into the net pot until roots start to fall.
Stick with dirt. Fucktard.
I have my drip ring on a timer to feed for 15 minutes every 8 hours. Should I increase the feeding to every 6 or 4 hours?

Definitely. I'd do it every 4 at least. You're only doing it until roots hit the soup in sufficient numbers to take over. You could run it 5 minutes every hour. It's simply draining back. But never does the net basket touch. That waterlogs the root crown and will eventually kill it.
