Seeds ordered - MIA - Really Worried - Please advise..

Ok....here's my deal

I ordered some seeds from Attitude.

Ive ordered from them before - never having a problem, in fact I reccomend Attitude highly (no pun intended) for several reasons....

At any rate, my last order got stuck in NYC with the "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" message fromthe USPS tracking site

Not sure if this ever was the case before in previous orders, this is the first time Ive noticed

Anyway...the tracking from USPS said that for about a week. I checked the forums, apparantly that was a common occurance....so I didn't worry

But now - today I checked the tracking, and apparantly it was delivered on Dec 24th....to someone elses house

USPS traking only mentions my Zip Code and City....no address....

Now I realize, this is not THe Attitudes' fault, and its not even the USPS - its the actual Mail-person, who delivered it to the wrong address.....

That's enough to piss me off as it is, because someone is not looking on the package closely - and seeing that I don't live at the address its being dropped of at...but someone else does....

(unless somone else in my neighborhood as the exact same name....I can assure you - the chances of that are very very slim....even finding someone else in this counrty with my exact name is a thousand to one - at worst - my name is that unique....)

Now....its bad enough if I lost the money I spent on the seeds, and the two weeks of time to re-order - or for Attitude to re-ship.....(if they in fact agree to do that) - considering that it didn't get lost in Customs.

...it got lost my human error.....

Here's what I am VERY worried about.

I live in a small town....there MJ laws are well.....fucked - to put it bluntly.

If someone actually opes up this letter from Amsterdam....out of curiosity or otherwise....and finds MJ seeds.....

...on a letter with MY NAME AND ADDRESS on the envelope.....

...uhhh....

So you understand my concern?

Am I potentially fucked here?

Let me put it this way....these arent' the first seeds I've ordered.....meaning....IM GROWING

Do I need to worry that some potential Goody-Goody calls the local cops, or feds maybe?

Do I need to break down and destroy my garden and leave town before the Bulls come busting down my door?

Seriously....if anyone thinks I'm being paranoid...YOURE DAMN RIGHT

The state I live in, I could get thrown in the box (as well my family) for a long time.

I guess what I'm asking for here is advice.

Am I overreacting?

Am I right to be scared?

Do I destroy my garden and leave town?

Really really fucked and worried here.....

I'm looking for (mature) advice please....

Thanks

Jay

damn call up usps and raise hell about this.
You should of posted in toke and talk you would get more replies.
And if your in a real small town like you say you have the right to be worried.
1 the cops
2. having to worry about someone else trying to steal the crop would be my biggest concern.
I couldn't really see someone going out there way to report it to the cops.Dont leave town but taking your grow down is up to you.

do you know the address they got sent to? why did the homeowner sign for a package that wasnt theirs instead of saying something? I'd be a lil nervous if i was you.

I have no idea who it was delivered to, and no - no one had to sign for it. They just drop it off like a normal letter.

Oddly enough, Attitude makes certain to mention this as a "plus"

I assume so no one can put their name to a package knowingly - but that doesn't make sense to me 'cause my name is on the letter anyway.

I am actually hoping someone might actually at very least - send it back to the psot office and/or tell the mailman that it should be re-routed - something....

Well - I certainly hope not .. I mean it would really be a fascist thing to do.....but when you live in the "south" you are surrounded by conservatives...and I just don't know what to think....

(I'll re-post my original in the forum you suggested....wasn't sure where to put this post....)

it also soundsl like someone else knows the seed package...otherwise during this time most people are a little more giving and willing to help..not like theyre goin out of their way...hopefully all the users on here who detail the way these places send there seeds didnt get you fucked..sorry to say it...but i dont think they should be able to post that stuff...obviously they are hiding it for a reason and not all areas are as open to seeds

If someone did git your seeds and opend them that is a felony to do so so if they try to git you in shit with the cops or whatever you can git them right back DON'T FUCK WITH THE USPS IT IS A felony. Dont no if that makes you fill any better.

It takes a little more than a package of seeds for the cops to get a warrant and beat your door down. No need to pack up shop just yet. Calm down, They dont just give out search warrants for anything. On the other hand it might cause suspicion and they might start to look at your electric bill and possibly send a pig around to ask you some random questions to see if he can smell anything. as long as you dont throw up any unneeded red flags in your direction you should be fine.

mighty interesting post, never occurred to me that seeds could end up in someone else's mail box
like other posters have said, getting a warrant for this seems unlikely, opening the letter is a crime, that would seem to taint it as evidence
flip side of this is i never considered getting a 'sign for' delivery, this experience may make me rethink that
