I intake from outside most of the year so if I left it running all the time it would get too cold. The ac infinity t controller will turn the fan on when it gets too warm and turn off when it's back downWhy do people turn their fans on and off? My fan runs 24/7. Never any problems.
Not sure, I have always ran mine to get the correct amount of air flow going through the tent. Now it's set at speed 3 and set to trigger cooldown mode once it hits 86. So far, it's maintaining perfectly within 84.4-84.7F. I will post my first full day chart for my current setup later tonight once it's been a full 24hrs.Why do people turn their fans on and off? Do you have an ir thermometer? I run my ladies much closer to the LEDs than most so so I usually keep my ambient just a little lower so I can keep the leaf temps where I need them, but considering you're battling low rh it will help you dial things in better than ambient temps imoNot sure, I have always ran mine to get the correct amount of air flow going through the tent. I have a mix of thermometers, hygrometers etc.. haha my leaves are around 80-82F surface temps on top. Temp is pretty much dead set at 84F with 49% RH.Do you have an ir thermometer? No worries, still an uber noob to all this. From what I thought I understood, was as long as they're watered enough in hotter climates, they'll grow no issue. I've lowered the lights power draw from 600W to 412W. Hoping I get closer to the ideal VPD now.I admit I thought u were further along then this. I suggest u check out vpd because currently you're way out of whack and you'll start noticing problems shortly. Imo you need to turn your light down a little which will lower temp which will bring up the rh some. Best of luck buddy
Ya my experience was when i started figuring out the science, things kind of clicked. Just being as open to suggestions as u seem is a big plus working for u!No worries, still an uber noob to all this. My other issue I'm not fully understanding is light level... My light is currently 60" from the substrate, but the PPFD at leaf level is about 315-335. Does the light need to be closer? Or as long as my PPFD is within optimal ranges, light distance doesn't matter??Ya my experience was when i started figuring out the science, things kind of clicked. If i notice the plants stretching then i will put them on a box or something to get them closer but now that u turned the lamp down u might want to get them a little closer like 2-3 feet from lights. My other issue I'm not fully understanding is light level... I will definitely look them over a lot tonight. That extra heat from all day yesterday dried a lot of that top soil out so I had to water a lil bit this morning.. Temps are already a lot lower with a slight increase in RH.If i notice the plants stretching then i will put them on a box or something to get them closer but now that u turned the lamp down u might want to get them a little closer like 2-3 feet from lights.
But if u don't see any abnormal stretching and feel more comfortable keeping them where they r, keep em where they r lol

Hell ya! That's what you're going for. If you are reading a vpd chart you'll see that u want things a little cooler during the veg time. U do any foliar feeding? If u don't u could mix up a quarter strength calmag mix and give them a spritz a few times a day. Once u figure out how to play with your lamp and fan to get to the sweet spot I wouldn't personally watch all the meters too much and just trust yourself and adjust as they progress and their needs change. Or if u notice anything funny, pull out your tools and fix it but sometimes getting too much data without knowing what to do with it can be unhelpful. If you think about all the different weather conditions they encounter outdoors and have thrived for thousands of years sometimes we make things harder than they need to beI will definitely look them over a lot tonight. He won’t need a dehumidifier in Arizona with 4 plants in a 4x4 grow tent no way. I’ve ran 16 plants in a 4x4 without a dehumidifier with no problems, as long as there is enough air flowingNot the best option but if you got extra cash you can get a central humidifier that connects straight to the furnace/ductwork. They're about $300.
Just saw your pic. I wouldn't worry about it right now cuz in a few weeks you gonna need dehumidifier with 4 plants in that small space.
