Because I have not seen any actual Democrats up in arms about this. Schumer even said she gets to keep her committees.

This is a purely political play on her part, it might work out it might not, but it is not a big deal at all at the end of the day since she is still going to caucus with the Democrats. For now at least, who knows this could be just another way to own the news cycle a little longer and she will go full Tulsi Gabbard at some point she wants to own the news cycle down the road.

Time for the Democrat and Republican parties to go the way of MySpace. They're not needed and they're both corrupt. They have become gatekeepers to the kingdom controlled and are controlled by a few powerful people. We need more politicians like Sinema to break away from the centralized corrupt political entities. Sinema leaving the Democratic party is good for our Democracy. It's just a crack in the wall for now but hopefully it will lead to the wall falling down.

Free to participate in the political process as herself and not following some script given to her by the masters of the Democratic party. If she wins in 2024 it will be because of the people not the power and money of a corrupt political party.

So, she doesn't know where her desk is going to be..won't go to Dem breakfast meetings, but will get on Committee (wonder what she will do with that info?) says she'll Caucus with Dems but she doesn't know which side her desk will be on.

Correct. Also about the pic with Baldwin, Collins..was a media faux paus (mainstream not cable) when they used that footage while they did voice over regarding her announcement. Mainstream fact checkers aren't quick enough to stop the basic newscaster from putting their foots in their mouths..they make political and historical mistakes all the time. I have to take cable in small pieces and watch Deadline Whitehouse with Nichole Wallace..good guests, thoughtful interaction..no jumping up and down in your chair and it's two hours, so she covers it all. MSNBC triggers my PTSD..I need calm in my reporting and Nichole is.

I notice that you don't seem to be carrying a pitchfork like others are. Sinema did nothing wrong. The Democrats were going to borrow a page from the Republican playbook and primary her because they couldn't control her 100%. Anyone that cares about Democracy should see Sinema declaring as Independent as a good thing. It's the people that should decide not some political party that chooses who gets to run. I hope that many others follow her from both parties.

I am good with the ideas of more parties and not having blind allegiances. Politics should be more local anyway, the democrat of Iowa is a republican in the northeast. Also, I like that a party has to earn your vote.

Still don't have the slightest clue what xtshos grievances are with the dems as a party, but that's cool. Only thing I ever figured out was he was mad about blm riots messing up his city, but eh, who knows. I'm mad that the homeless have messed up ours, we are dem run so they are responsible for the situation...more so than they were for riots, but still, I see two options and it's D or R. Feel free to go with a different one, but keep in mind what the other guy is doing and if you split to stay fully pure with your views then you may wind up with the least desired option.

It's a catch 22 situation, I'm really jealous of those other countries with like 10 parties and proportional rule that allows the 2% of total voters that vote for the green party or whatever to have a say. That isn't how it works here. Your minority 3rd party vote means nothing. We can't get to something better as if one side or the other sheds voters to a 3rd party, then the other monolith crushes them both.
