I can see how people thought SRV sounded like an impersonator early, he did do a lot of covers and standards in a style that was similar to Hendrix. But he made it his own and Goddamn is really all I can say. The biggest reason I prefer Jimi is that I like his voice more. Stupid overdoses and crashes taking away so much talent.

Jela that is incredible. All Spring Valley produced, so far anyway, was
The Beat Farmers. (...miss Country Dick Montana still. Cowpunk! lol)

Watch the video of Eric Clapton doing participating in an homage to SRV.

He puts it down very clearly: music poured from SRV in a very special way.

Here it is:

Such a thread-jack!

Have a great day all.

While were waiting for the PK13/14 to pump some bud sideways in the tent, here's a version of "Little Wing" you'll never forget....this little kid really wang's out as the song builds. Inspiration from Hendrix made it to this generation...in this part of the world.
Those blondes that Watts discovered should take lessons from this kiddo.

That is lovely. I had seen that one before.

I suppose that they refer to "Stevie Ray Voughan" to avoid
copyright infringement....LOL

More likely that the name was spelled based on issues converting English spelling and Asian phonetics.
That is quite the cover of Little Wing. Usually I don't like non Jimi versions of that song.

I'd be willing to bet she didn't know that Little Wing was a Hendrix song, and had only been exposed to SRV version.

Speaking to that and the nice cut from Santana at Woodstock. Pop quiz,, no google search allowed. By show of hands how many of you old rockers thing that Black Magic Woman originated with Santana?????

Well put your hands down. It's copy-write goes to Fleetwood Mac penned by Peter Green, before 2 women ruined one of the best british blues bands.

Great stuff!

I had heard that one Watt, but could not recall it.

Here is another one: Stevie Wonder wrote "Superstition", but what
famous guitarist wrote it's drum beat and worked with Wonder on the
album, also releasing his own version of the song?

Jeff Beck

P.S. For the record, I am one of those people who get a chuckle out
of foreigners difficulty with English. Now, I say this understanding that
English is a crazy language and that I will never speak the other person's
language as well as they speak English, ever.

I just find this sort of thing to be innocent fun, as long as we are all
thick skinned enough to take a little fun-poking.

Check this: If "Javadog" mean "Galactic Dickhead" in some other language,
then please just tell me, and we will *all* have a good laugh.

I cannot see how a Korean person could be personally hurt by an American
suggesting the name "Bang Ding Ow" as a Korean name. Either (1) it is
a likely Korean name and you just have to shrug your shoulders, or laugh
at the coincidence or (2) it is not a likely Korean name and you just get
to laugh at it's general stupidity.

Koreans: what American names are words in Korean? This could be fun! :0)

Have a great day!

Great looking grow, I am seeing those a51 panels more and more with what seems to be great results. Amazing what those and a hydro set up can do in capable hands.

Nizza, that was killer with my coffee this morning before work...came home & went right back to it...sent my wife an email in the next room so she could enjoy because I wasn't leaving my chair. Next thing you know I'm watch the next video in line on youtube and it's the full Hendrix/Woodstock set...went to grab a beer from the box and saw the wifey watching the same Hendrix video. She was there at Woodstock that day...but Jimmy was just 3" tall as she demonstrated with her fingers....she was "far out" I remarked...(LOL)

hbbum, man I wish I was into some of the big-time colas strains I normally do to demonstrate what these lights can do but I somehow picked a tall "gangly" strain this time. With this anomaly, I can't really judge the lights well, I don't know if these colas will ever fill in now that I'm in the middle of week 5. Horribleherk for instance, had his outgrow his HPS lights and isn't getting flowers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these numerous stems produce something..sure a lot of frost going on.

32days of 12/12, middle of week 5. Although early based on the puff-ball spacing on the colas, I started the PK13/14 treatments that I normally do at end of week 4. PK13/14 users like me all claim a remarkable change just 24 hours after the first dose. Sadly not here with SW OG.. it's too early but I fear I'll miss that magic window where it works the best so I'll keep truck'in...they are taking everything I give-em and drinking like bar-maids.. Anyhow, I can't complain about the frost...the whole bunch is a funny iridescent light olive-green when the light are on. These were the darkest green on the planet just 2 week ago.

wow jela youve really got it going on youre really making me miss hydro
Hempy buckets are a wonderful thing in that you can control things to the "tee", but you can also relax about some things too. I'd be lost if I went back to dirt. Dirt is great, just seems like you are at the end of a sling shot when you feed since the soil itself is breaking down organically and providing nutrients too. My plants vegged slower in dirt it seemed (Fox Farms OF). Checking run-off during issues sucked too...with a dialed in hempy system it's plug & play. Just kick back with the 20 gauge and a cooler of beer and shoot white-fly's all day.

Have to share this. Roy Buchanan The master of the Telecaster. Here's Roy doing Hey Joe in 1976

Aw, geez! Here's somebody else hijacking Jela's thread, and it's the Canadian doing it , eh?! ( "The only thing Canada produces are hockey players and hookers." "My mother is from Canada!" "What position does she play?" ). For a truly different take on Hey Joe, I offer a very psychedelic version by Deep Purple, prior to their metal days with Machine Head. Love the Spanish flair to it! It very much stands up on its own. But when you're wired ... ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xm4os2ugaA

Looking good, real nice color too my friend...
Thanks for the positive energy yawl, that energy is out there now and plants pick up on it like antenna's with a root system.

Pcinla, as an SNL fan for years, I seem to remember a lot of comedians come from Canada to (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadian_comedians). You are right on their heels my "backdoor man"...BTW the natural metamorphism of the tread has brought us into "party" mode. Regular grow updates now cost you a good video blast from the past. Your Deep Purple "Hey Joe" is clever much appreciated.
