I am in MG moisture control soil, with 40% MG perlite (but any brand perlite is fine, I only say that because some people say MG burns, but with both MG products I have had NO burning.), and up through the third week of flower, I used MG all purpose ferts (16-8-24 I think), but beyond that, I prefer something with less or no N, unless I see some yellowing of the leaves more than a couple weeks before planned harvest.
As far as your previous post, you mentioned yellowing tips, and 'where you can get it at your lower leaves'.
You're NOT foliar feeding, are you?
Make sure your leaf tips aren't sitting in the soil, if they are, just trim the smallest amount possible to get them up, or tuck them to keep out of the soil.

Yes.
You may not use it frequently, but if you encounter a problem and suspect PH, you can check right away, instead of having to order a kit and wait.

Just my bottom set of leaves, the single blade ones the tips are yellow brown and looks crispy

Check out this basil dwc, it got even bigger before i cut it down. Your GFDs will get way bigger than your other plants, trust me on this lol. Nice work on starting vegtables before grapefruits. I did the same thing and i learned so much that helped me out later. Talk as much as you want, just make sure your right, theres lotsa pros on here and they love to make people look dumb, it makes them feel better about themselves lol ill see if i have some other stretch pics for you.before and after. I used the scrog to help direct the plant horizontally, it helped alot, opened it up also for better air flow, i stopped manipulating it two - thee weeks after the stretch and it just kept goin up.

wow, very nice. i see that basil, even in a small container is doing great. do you think i can keep my cannabis in a 12-16 oz cup if i do 12/12 from seed (10 weeks total probably), or should i transplant it once to like a half gallon? i cant even fit a gallon container in my space

No pics huh? Ill go grab one that was cut at 18 days prior to flip and show you the roots. I think 18 oz cups would be to small and cause gimpy leaves, mutations, and overall stress. Have you considered smaller smartpots? They will form fit to your space and each other and they prune the roots so they will take full advantage of the pot size...hold on...

They should be fine for your lighting situation for a while. When they start bloom more light couldnt hurt anything. Ya, if your leaves on the bottom are yellowing and crisping off it could be because they need nitrogen. I start feeding 250 ppm grow nutes at 14 days old and my tap is 150. It also just be natural, it happens sometimes, but im thinking nutrients. Asap, even some walmart crap would do.

it could be a heat or nute issue, seedlings cant use that much light, because theyre so small. when they enter veg, they want all the light they can get. theyll adapt and get big enough so that they can absorb all the light there is within air medium. this is why reflection is important. dark colors convert light energy to heat, while flat white reflects most energy.

most of the time, with fresh phd potting soil, and a good temp/circulation system, the culprit is soil thats too wet.

Deff not a heat issue, so what cheap nutes will work untill next month

Just grab a box of MG all purpose nutes for 6 bucks, I used them up through the second week of flower with no problem.

Hmmm....tiny plants i have did just fine under those big ol 600 w HPS 2.5 feet away. I bet each one of them could take the light of four 23 w cfl and not even flinch. You on the other hand are correct that it may be a wet soil issue. Damp all the time will stunt growth. They need to dry out and get air to the roots. I get the most growth when their almost dry..and im not looking at them

im getting antsy with my grow becuase its day 8 and my seedlings still havent entered veg stage. they only get 12 hours of sun per cycle though.

i think they may just be enerting veg stage though, becuase they arent pointed straight to the sky. i really hope they are. the two veg leaves are starting to open up and lay more parallel to the ground instead of stretching towards the sky

Tha container should feel light when you pick it up, the leaves will start to noticably sag when the need water. You will see the sag later when they are bushier, and youll definatly see it when you go running out to grab some tail and forget to water some day. Takes them about a half hour or more to perk back up from the droops. Ive heard rumors that water flows through a large healthy plant at a foot an hour. If your looking to pick up some fertz quick just for a month go to the hydro store and get somthing for bloom with some nitrogen in it. I say bloom nutes because you wont use much of that trios grow nutes if your not overdoing the ppm in grow. Soo youll have more grow nutes for your next run, buuuut youll probably be short on bloom nutes by the end, if not out because you feed at a higher ratio in bloom and it lasts waaay longer than veg. Also a little chemical fertz with high PK value rocks at week four-seven of flower. Cha-ching. If you dont have a hydro shop near then just grab some miricle grow all purpose cheap stuff 5-10-5 for like six bucks at wallmart. A plants a plant in veg, anything will work just keep an eye on deficiencies.

wicked if you have a phone, you can take pics and e-mail them to yourself sometimes it works

cant, i want them to finish fast, and i dont have a lot of room. its just bothering me that seedling phase is taking so long. this plant was 4 weeks old, grown under 12/12 and it started to show me flower at the fourth week this way. unfortunately, both it and its brother were males. i wasnt even watering this one that well. i think im doing better now.

i may try a sip system for seedlings next round. my tomato plants roots were MUCH more developed than this at 4 weeks. this male plant was four weeks old, just making its balls, so i put it outside. it survived frost for almost a whole week!

That makes my biggest plant look like a midget lol

I have mine in 1g pots already too, you tjink that may be why slow growth ontop because the roots are growing big still?
