you can clone flowering plants but to continue flowing the clones out would not be the best idea, cloning stresses a plant, and flowering will be postponed, if you leave them under 12/12 for the clone it will eventually give you some alright buds, best bet is to clone, revert to veg then start the flowering proccess over again, but that is even counterproductive as the end result will still prob be less bud than if they finished in the ground. try a transplant. get a 10 or 20 gallon pot with some decent potting soil and dig those babies up, try not to severe the main taproot with your shovel and they should be fine, dont worry about cutting through a few roots they will easily recover.
next about where to put them. you chose a bad spot obviously if people found them. always search for spots the previous season checking for the way the sun will hit the plants and all but mainly looking for signs of traffic, trails, trash, footprints, tape ribbons or spray paint. getting caught growing is serious your luck it was some idiot stoners and not jonny law. try to put your plants in the very middle of a thornbush, or around a skunk den or bee hive, places where mosquitos are an extreme problem. maybe someplace covered in poison ivy (just make sure you where long pants and sleeves)
choose a better location next time and this wont be an issue. man i wish we could all keep our plants displayed proudly in our front yard, good luck man hope you can get them moved before someone tries to make off with them
