And I am starting to notice a significant decrease in performance due to the norton antivirus he installed on my computer. He asked me if it was running faster on friday and I told him no, because it wasn't. It ran perfect up until the virus, and i'm still not convinced there was anything wrong other than the single infection.

Oh wow look at that, ran a scan of the mp3 player I claimed the infection came from (and was told specifically it wasn't possible) and there was the w32.autosky worm infecting every folder.
