So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

The good part is the golf course superintendent is excited about it. Want to go all in now. We spent 500 at the hydro store. all organic/TLO stuff.

I said look this ain't cheap lets see if we can fix the slime on the greens and go from there. So we are inoculating now. He made his first tea today.

He starts his compost pile this week and with a restaurant in the clubhouse hes gonna have some really great compost IMO.

He also will have lots of grass clipping and leaves to start a nice separate pile from the compost

At that point we will be the only one of two in the state tryin this..
Unreal!

You should start a thread about this. I would love to follow along and watch the progress!

Absolutely. I'd be interested in the nutrient delivery requirements with respect to granule size. I'm thinking tea-only on the putting green, for example. I'm just curious

Yes it will be tea only. on the greens. We will add Mykos in the granular time release Nitrogen 3 time a year.

Here the problem. they water with effulent water that PH at 8. fuk me. So a few year ago they put in a acid injection system. but with times being tuff the could no longer afford the 30,000 per year for the acid for the system. So now I have the putting gymsen in with the fertilizer to bring PH down.
Thank God we live in an area that gets lots of rain and the rain PH is 6.4.
Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Check it out just for the info as I know these guys care and it all started with them applying natural science to the turf and gardening industry .. Good products from good people that are good for the earth in short and all at a fair price as well :)

Rhizobiotics – The Future of Growing

There is about to be a revolution in the way we garden and it is called Rhizobiotics. Rhizobiotics is the future of gardening; it is a way of growing that not only increases yields and unlocks the nutrients in the soil, but actually leaves the soil more productive and more pure than before application.
Rhizobiotics products are from the earth, and from natural growth stimulants connected to the soil. There is no way of growing that is more natural, "green" or more eco-friendly than Rhizobiotics. Rhizobiotics are non-GMO, are beneficial to the soil and are extremely safe to use.
Rhizobiotics soil treatments naturally help plants to grow more vigorously and to produce more flowers and fruits, but are they are not chemical fertilizers. Rhizobiotics help your plants to more effectively use the nutrients already found in your soil, but they aren’t artificial. Rhizobiotics leave no chemical residues. Rhizobiotics are extremely cost effective and will fit the budget of any garden.

Works like a charm. Runs 300W, which is more light than a 300W HID, due to more watts being used for light, not heat and IR. So should run cooler and cheaper

Both. There is a separate string of redder LEDs that get turned on during flower. So a little bluer in veg, and a little redder in flower.

The LEDs themselves are essentially full spectrum whites. The days are gone where an LED panel is a mess of different colors, etc.

Hey Rrog I'm thinking of running your mix I like the Sul-Po-Mag and neem meal and BTI and Clays.... Im going to do probably 45 gallon smart pots do you think this mix would be good for that or just raised bed or in-ground?

Do you see any issues if I use Bentonite @ 4 cups per Square foot instead of Bentonite, Pyrophyllite Clay, and Montmorilloni Clay?

1 bag FFOF
1 bag FF original
1 bag FF light warrior
FF peace of mind 5-8-4 (1 cup)
1/2 bag perlite
vermiculite?????
powdered/pellet dolomite (read this would be good to add to the pots after planting, not 100% sure tho)

organic nuts: unsure of whats good, how much to use, ect.

You came to the right place . I think that most are leaving the dolomite out due to it taking awhile to break down and then also not the kind of magnesium we want.
Maybe try something like what Coben listed..

thanks, my old CG is coming over today after work to go over my grow build, what i want for soil (even tho he is hydro), and to answer other Q's i might have. i am wayyyyyyy over budget (over 2000 into it already), but i figured i would be over. but in the end, growing the meds I want is priceless, as well as the learning curve and the comradery of the growers on here and in Michigan in general.

Coben- More rock powders and clays are better. Great mineralization for use a few generations of plants later (recycled no-till)
