Well they unfairly COMPETE in a global free market...

Both the US and China compete in a variety of markets...the Chinese government subsidizes some of their products leading to "dumping" and other unfair trade practices...

For example, both countries produce steel...the free market determines the price per finished ton. If company A sells for $1 a pound, company B has to match it or lose business. American companies can compete because shipping 50,000 pound coils half way around the globe isn't cheap...but then the Chinese government gives their companies cash, the companies then can sell it for less...and American companies and jobs get ass fucked. Then, they devalue the yen and get an even bigger advantage...

So China may not technically BE a free market...but the free global market is where they compete...and frequently win by cheating...
And if America doesn't soon wise the fuck up...China will be the main supplier of steel used in sensitive military applications...NOT the best idea...
China devalues Japans currency?

I don't need you to explain anything to me btw, I obviously know more than you about this topic (for example that they don't use the Yen in China).

They gladly except the yen in China, the dollar too. Though the yuan is China's currency.

So did I miss the argument that magically somehow justified zero regulation?

"The free market will fix it!"?

Did the government stop the free market from cleaning up the Exxon Valdez? BP Oil Spill? You think a private company would spend their own money to clean up their own environmental hazard if there was no oversight or authority figure to keep them accountable? Because if you believe that, please, provide some evidence that supports it. When has a private corporation ever spent its own money to ensure environmental regulations come before profits? Conservatives on this very forum have argued pretty much the exact opposite; that business interests take precedence - above all else - in accordance with shareholder obligations. So if my interests lie with my shareholders, and there's nobody holding me accountable, why the hell wouldn't I pollute this lake to make a dozen more parts for my customers? I make more money and who the fuck cares about this one lake in bumfuck nowhere? Nobody! FUCK IT! That's your neighborhood and community.

Welcome to corporate America, where the politicians are buy one get one free

Im pretty sure no one here agrees with companies polluting.

You're crying over nothing, you can still have a free market and environmental regulations.
