I'm willing to bet that the majority who voted for Brexit didn't vote for Exit nor did they think they were voting for a 10% decline in their economy either. One cannot live on false conspiracy theories alone.

You do know the UK Conservative Party are like the Bernie/AOC socialists in the US? The Independence Party is like the US Republicans, and there's only two of them. So sure buddy, socialism "lost." :clap:

Was a strange rambling post. He seems to have no knowledge of the differences in the left and the right in England and compares them to American. English politics is far to the left of what is the centre in America. Its more in line with Australian politics.

I think what happens is, he's in college. They have what are called the College Republicans who worship Ayn Rand and indoctrinate them with the decline of family values, church, etc. But the same happens with the professors who are likewise the polar opposite as liberal. So although they recognize the BS they're taught in classes, a switch goes off in their head to become just as nuts too.

This is basically why Russia wass pushing for Bernie in 2016, I think this election they had was basically what it would have looked like if Bernie instead of Clinton would have won the Democratic nomination.

Just like anywhere you have a small percentage of college professors that push their politics into others faces, and generally it is to elicit conversations that force people to stand up for their viewpoints. You seem to dislike college education, why is that?

I dislike how much they charge. They don't teach what you need, and are instead propaganda. You can learn online, like edX or Coursera completely for free to very low prices. The only problem is you don't get the degree. We need to stop the nonsense of degrees, and base on experience or potential.

We should go back to the old times where you joined a guild and they trained you in every way, in exchange you promise to work for them a set amount of time. This is a way better system than our college system, where it's just a crap shoot if you actually get a job good enough to pay for your "education."

Its up to people to chose what they want to learn, you shouldn't put that on the colleges. They try to attract people to the sciences and math but people only take them usually for pre-reqs. You can't learn math online, you also miss being questioned in real time which is needed for critical self evaluation. College also is the first place a lot of people are first exposed to the widest possible spectrum of other people which does help them to not get stuck into their own bubbles.

Having grown up thinking the way you did I dropped out of college 2 years in when I quit wrestling, because I wasn't there for my education, I left with a GPA under 2.0. I now have a couple degrees and even was in a PhD program for a couple years before I left to go farm. My time was not wasted, and while it is expensive, it is accessible to everyone (who doesn't have a federal offense) regardless using loans.

And yes if people don't get their degree it sucks, but if they do on average they earn more and have better job availability. And if they are smart and go into a STEM field, a lot of their education will get paid for while they are in school. They are dying to attract Americans into these programs because there is so much extra funding coming to these programs as the Asian students are paying a far higher price increasing these departments budgets to subsidize Americans applying.

But a lot of the time these are stupid young kids who get accepted at 17. When I was that age I had no idea what I wanted in life. Had I been accepted to some fancy Ivy League school, with all the promises, right now all I'd be is in debt, because the STEM etc just isn't for me. Not to say I couldn't do it, I can, but to me that stuff is boring AF.

I enjoy the life I currently have immensely and wouldn't have it any other way, even if it doesn't pay the greatest.
