soil failed 1st grow now trying hydro for second attempt to grow!!

Hey what's up this is my second grow in hoping to do better than my first attempt which was soil not my cup of tea though wanna do shit all the time.. Bare with me in still learning no need to get ugly we are all adults I have a since of humor and constructive criticism is great but no need to be a dick about it so keep that in mind please and feel free to add any advice tips hints or knowledge im doing wrong so i can look in to your thoughts and possibly better my chances on being successful this. Harvest ill put up all the details later want to load up pics first..thanks in advance for all you green thumbs who share your wisdom

Like I said I'm still learning hydroponics is the new set up its on 2 week the two larger plants ate 1-2 months old transplanted from soil to hydroponics they doubled original height in the two weeks I guess I actually did it right lol I'm using 2" net pots III n a 2.5 gallon RES flora series performance pack from general hydroponics any tips or questions I could answer feel free to speak up

Do led lights need no ducting? I realize the don't produce heat and everything but do they have to be pink colored? Couldn't be a regular mh or hps color also what size of how many would be needed to cover the 8x4 or possibly even 4x4 only if I decided to divide rooms can use my 400w in veg side

Like i said I'm a complete beginner and zero experience.. How ever I have a knowledgeable birdie in my ear now so things should be alot better from here out.. Also will be starting from scratch after these take off all new strains all new ser up all new mentality going into it..growing smoke isn't the science its the creating environment that's difficult..atleast in my opinion lol think its doing better though now:)
