Another question as I was reading your post you recommend full spec bulbs over over hps do you mean the dual arc bulbs or ... I greatly appreciate you teaching and answering my questions4 cups per cu ft in mix. top dress about 1-2 cups per cu ft.

Id say dense nugs can be grown in any soil/medium, but not with any light. U could have the best genetics, nutes and environment but if u dont have enough light u cant grow dense shit. We use HPS and LED's for a reason, the rest just simply dont work as well to flower cannabis.
led's produce quality but not quantity. There is no way i could pull what i do with a 400w hps from a LED in my tiny 2x2x5 tent.I don't agree. I have 4 induction / led combos 460 watts each covering a 5x4 per light. My buddy has 4 1000's covering less space than me. I produce far denser buds than him. My straight led grows produce denser buds than his. All mine are more colorful and far frostier. Led works awesome. Hps doesn't even compare.
here is a comparison thread to check out too

Wrong again. Quality led at half the watts of hps will match the yield of any hps light . Its been proven on here time and time again. 100's of times. That link ^^^^^ I posted is proof of that. I ran hps for over 10 years and I would never go back. There only a small amount of companies that make quality led panels. Area51 led, Apache Tech, Hans led, Onyx, and the diy cree cxa cob leds. Any other brand is crap and use low bin leds. Cree cxa cob leds are killing everything with the least amount of watts.led's produce quality but not quantity. There is no way i could pull what i do with a 400w hps from a LED in my tiny 2x2x5 tent.
damn i had No idea it was invented That long ago! But I still just don't have the money for the oother, for now I Have to stick with hps which will be a Huge upgrade from cfls. And once I start saving money Then I will start looking into upgrading again. No I meant cmh, induction, or led. Hps is dead tech that has barely been improved on in the last 40 years. All others are killing hps. Ironically led has been around since the 1920's and induction since the 1890's .

they make an 860 watt that runs off a 1000w mh or switchable mag ballastI wish they made 1000watt cmh for digi ballast
bit that wouldnt cover 4*4 completely would it? and isnt it just a mh?cmh is still pretty cheap.

the cmh has a quartz crystal coating around the bulb. So its opeb reflector rated. Plus glass would block out the uv anyway. It runs off a 400 watt mh or switchable mag ballast

I like this. Where is the like button? Sorry, but I can't seem to locate it. I'm new.I get my bentonite / volcanic rock dust from a landscaping supply store down the street. 10 lbs for $9. The oyster shell flour I buy 2 hours away. Its the cheapest place anywhere. Plus I have friends and fam nearby there too. Glacial and basalt I order from
