Solis tek 600w HPS bulb no longer available

Hello it seems that Solis tek has discontinued the 600 watt HPS bulb. I'm a little bit pissed off about it. Does anybody know of a suitable replacement bulb that can run in the Solis tek 600W digital ballast. It has a 660 W setting also. Thanks guys I'm in a pinch here.

any 600w bulb should be fine, eye hortilux and ushio are the preferred brands

Fuck solistek. Eye hortiluxe 600w hps is the shit. I went through several of those solistek bulbs they don't last. Had 2 burn out on me in a single year. Eye hortiluxe is still going strong almost one year later which replaced the last one still intact after a year of use. Saved as a backup. I switch em out annually.

Sounds great thank you. Not to sound redundant but the solis tek ballast is fine with that bulb correct? Even in the 660 watt mode? Again thanks

Yeah, a HPS bulb is a HPS bulb. Just make sure you get the correct version (SE or DE) and wattage . I run my 1kw on super lumens which is 1100 or so.

Yes it should still fire up any 600w hps or mh. A word of caution using the "super" wattage mode: you can throw on a few more lumens using this setting but it also cuts down the life of your bulb shorter. You won't notice a difference in yield using regular 600w mode vs "super" hps mode. You may notice you are just changing out bulbs more often.

Little hyjack here, but shouldn't the direction also be considered...some bulbs only work horizontal and or vertically ?
I haven't bought any bulbs in a few years so I'm not 100% sure if this still applies or not, but figured I'd ask.

No it doesn't matter. Cmh are supposed to be run vertical but I run one horizontal just fine.
