Some advice please start of week 8

Hi guys im about to start flushing im wondering if its starting to look ready guys i dont know what she is but she is indica 8 weeks flower..any ideas on the strain..the branches are ripening from the bottom up most are 50 to 60% on lower branches red hairs..the crowns are turning orange hairs now..im thinking if its 1 or 2 weeks off and thinking 2 just flush and water now until she is ready..what do you guys think..thanks guys..peace..and happy smoking 20200805_091006.jpg20200805_091056.jpg20200805_091037.jpg20200805_090856.jpg20200805_090812.jpg

Very good..cheers for reply yeah i thought she had 2 or 3 left in her..im using it 2 make oil i have cancer and this is why im doing it..i just thought flushing would make it cleaner with less shit in it.,anyway..peace

Another 4 weeks flowering would make this the longest flowering plant..lucky me..it will make it 11weeks in flower if it went for another 4 weeks..c how she goes..she will let me know when she is done..peace

You counting from when you flipped to 12/12 or when it actually started flowering? Usually that period from 12/12 until its flowering isnt counted.

Look for when the calyxes start to bulge. You have about 2 weeks maybe 3 from that point till the harvest window. You also notice the crystals stop glistening like diamonds. When they stop sparkling they are turning milky. When they turn from milky to more amber you are right when you should chop. Maybe even a little late. So right when it goes from milky to amber. The calyxes should be bursting. If they aren’t it’s too early. Timing flushing is always a challenge but I kinda go with when I start to see the calyxes bulge. Then flush. Seems like some don’t flush. I dunno. If you are growing for your self you might as well. I haven’t run out of weed in years so losing 5% yield doesn’t affect my life but crappy smoke certainly does.

There’s a harvest video too. Not sure which has more on the flushing section but both would be helpful to watch. It’s on outdoor growing but same principle for flushing.

Yeah you mentioned that. Which is why pretty much every manufacturer of fertilizer recommends doing it unless you are using living soil. This debate has gone on for years. I grow for myself and my friends and I’ve filmed little tent grows all the way up to commercial grows. They all flush. If you don’t that’s your choice. Your smoke, your lungs. Your reputation. For me, I grow for myself and have extra from three grows ago. I don’t care about my yield, makes no difference to me.

Counting from first sign of flowers which was when i saw 2 or 3 white pistols start appearing..i wiorked out that she is 47 days today in flower so a bit 2 go yet..i will flush im using it for medicine so i dont want any shit in it..people that smoke harsh weed must not realise its full of chemicals still..thats just me though..peace

I run synthetic nutes and do not flush other then my morning log in the toilet. Stop over fertilizing.

Thanks heaps for your reply man..good info..il be doing a 3 day flush at the end with just plain good old tap water..then il harvest..im going to chop her at the stem before i turn the bedroom light on and get to work..after she has had 24 hours dark il chop her at stem in dark b4 she gets light then il turn light on and crop her..it will be a big job for me..im al ready though..got the room ready at 50 humidity and 19 temp with a very small fan for airflow as the buds are big..im thinking of even breaking the big buds up wet to dry without any fear of mould or anything and put them in drying net rack..but i dont know if i should just hang the big girls up or break them into smaller buds to dry better..il work that out when im doing it i suppose..peace thanks heaps di0nysus..il let u know how she goes..heres a picture from this morning 47 days flowering there getting heavier every day lol20200806_090609.jpg

Haha i like running my ec high then dropping it..its normal for me.she is fine and producing better then many i have grown..its not my first rodeo my friend..peace.i was asking about flushing not growing..lol.theres always a negative reply..

I have a 8 week strain that will go 11 easy, I’m smoking some stuff I cut maybe 10 days ago, I didn’t flush. I fed them the same ec the past month, slowly reducing as they slow feeding, think it was around 1.2 when I cut, I’m lower now. The smoke burns clean and tastes fine after the 10 day dry so I’m pretty confident most is bro science, need to look around and take advice from “the proof is in the pudding” stand point.. Who cares what a lot of people say, they prob read it somewhere, I rather pay attention to the ones who do it consistently and confidently. I have done my own trials over the years, flushing, drying, shit weed come from early cut and shit drying assuming you have everything else dialed. I have smoked crispy plants before as well, who here has never burnt a plant.

Exactly..peace man..thanks for the normal reply without being negative like some.shes on very little nutes for the last few weeks..il keep u updated near the end..

Yeah, I wasn’t directing it at anyone in the post, just in general. A lot of these guys know what they are doing regardless attitudes. Keep us updated.
