I went into the grow-store the other day and I was stunned to see a 32 ounce bottle of pest spray for a thousand bucks. I was kinda shocked and joked about it with the fella behind the counter. I enquired if that was really a bottle of pest treatment for a grand and he said yes. We talked about it for a moment and I went on my way. However I couldn't stop thinking about that bottle. I researched the manufacturer and found out they also sell 128 ounce bottles for $2500.00 and 640 ounce bottles for $10,500.00. But what I couldn't get out of my mind is how all these old-timers used to grow without all these insanely expensive concoctions. All I could think was, "has growing really changed that much?"
For some reason I doubt that growing has changed as much as the prevailing attitude surrounding it has. I remember a time when we weren't allowed to talk about our plants in the grow stores or even say bong or pipe, now they're trying to tell me to bring my plants in so they can diagnosis a 1000 dollar problem for me...lol. If I were just a little more ignorant, bored, or rich I might take them up on it.
But alas, some things never change and the day I bring my plants in to be diagnosed by a grow store trying to sell me a 1000.00 bottle of pest treatment will probably happen as fast as the day that same grow store stops trying to sell 1000.00 bottles of pest treatments.
