@bizfactory thank you!
That's hooked up directly to a hlg-480h-24B. You can use Sonoffs with Meanwell drivers.just wondering if one of you less technically challenged folks might be able to confirm something for me, I've ordered some lights from China and they're using MW 240h-c1400b drivers, I mentioned sonoff switches to the seller and they said 'can't apply to our lights'.. I'm not sure if that is the case or just miscommunication!
So would appreciate it if anyone could confrim that I can use one with these drivers? Thanks in advance!
legend mate appreciate it!!View attachment 4149739

i have a dual 2.4/5 router that these wouldnt hook up to. i had to turn my phone to a wireless hotspot with the exact same name and PW as the router. connect it at 2.4g on the phone router then turned off the phone router and it connected to my xfinity router.Biggest issue with sonoff that I found is I can't use it because it doesn't connect to 5ghz wifi :/
Any way to work around that without changing the router ?
Will try that. Thanks matei have a dual 2.4/5 router that these wouldnt hook up to. i had to turn my phone to a wireless hotspot with the exact same name and PW as the router. connect it at 2.4g on the phone router then turned off the phone router and it connected to my xfinity router.

Are you/they referring to the dimming function of the driver? or just the AC side?just wondering if one of you less technically challenged folks might be able to confirm something for me, I've ordered some lights from China and they're using MW 240h-c1400b drivers, I mentioned sonoff switches to the seller and they said 'can't apply to our lights'.. was referring to the AC side which I assumed would be fine considering they're rated up to 250v and 16 amps etc, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something but I was curious about dimming, as there is a sonoff with dimming capability apparently..!?Are you/they referring to the dimming function of the driver? or just the AC side?
There is absolutely no reason you can not use a sonoff. It's no different than a switch. You can't dim with it. But you can control your.light schedule with it.was referring to the AC side which I assumed would be fine considering they're rated up to 250v and 16 amps etc, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something but I was curious about dimming, as there is a sonoff with dimming capability apparently..!?
I'm new in the world of led and a bit of a novice with electronics, so I'm still trying to take it all in, apparently some know it alls believe it should be common knowledge lol, considering I wasn't taught a single thing about electrical currents/circuits etc during my school years, I think I'm doing ok
If you upgrade to version 1.6 or higher you can't flash over the air but you still can flash with a physical device, forget what that's called though. All the ones I've bought, as recently as 2 month ago, came with firmware less than 1.6 so it's been no problem. I'm not sure they are actively trying to "block" the 3rd party firmware though, might just be incompatible.I've heard they block installing of alternative firmwares like Tasmota with their latest releases.
Can someone confirm this step?

Yeah after I couldn't connect to the Itead servers for several days, I decided to go custom. In a recent release of Tasmota they added a scheduler / timer feature so you can set the schedule and not have to worry about wifi going in and out.Thanks, bro!
That's what I wanted to know! Good to hear that it continues to work. Such a flash device is cheap to get. Mainthing is it still works! Thanks!
My Sonoff's lost their app settings 3 times this run and had to be paired again. It's frustrating!
Either I flash them to run Tasmota or I get an Amelech controller + hub.
As it is now, it annoys me too often!
how many timers are possible with tasmota? also only 8 or more?Yeah after I couldn't connect to the Itead servers for several days, I decided to go custom.
