I'm no Sour D expert, but that looks more like a Sour D cross, perhaps Headband or something similar? Looks very dank though.

Thanks. From what my buddy told me, he got 12 seeds that were supposed to be Sour D. He grew all 12 and took multiple cuttings off each in veg. Then the most chronic ones he kept as mothers. He ended up with the one mother that is super jet fuel/fruity smelling and tasting along with extreme smokeability. Every one from that mom turns out the same with a hint of purple.

Thanks! I was only asking because I supposedly have the AJ cut and yours differed a little in structure. Our flowers look different too. But I think there are different cuts that float around as 'legit sour d' and there are also cuts of S1s that people have kept and passed around too. Mine is good but I don't know that she deserves all the hype which makes me question her legitimacy.
Yours doesn't look like the aj. The aj is supposed to have pink pistils towards the end of flower.Thanks! I remember reading about orange hairs vs pink hairs, or something to that extent, and how that kind of indicated if cuts were the same or not. There should only be one sour D or ECSD or whatever it's called and it's annoying that cuts get passed around as 'the real deal' when in fact a cut may just be close to the real thing.
I don't know, I trust my source, I'm just not floored by her which I thought I might be given the hype. Then again, nothing lives up to the hype.

Time for a quick update. They are just growing like crazy. Start construction on the new room this weekend and it should be done by next weekend. Also the ladies are going into their next sized pots this weekend (either 7 or 10 gallon). Just wanted to keep active and do an update. I'm having a hell of a time deciding on running sealed hoods or open hoods with more ventilation. I'll know in the next few days when I visit my local hydro store haha. They are just hanging out in the middle of a room under two 1000s at the moment. They did shock a little from the switch from T5s to the HPSs. Looking better now.

Those are adjust-a-wings right? I hang a small computer fan just below the bulb to blow the hot air out from under the hood, lowers canopy the temp at least a few degrees C. Those girls look ready to go.

Well the ladies went into 7 gallon pots tonight. They are vegging for 14 more days then it's flower time! Picked up all my new nutrients today along with a Helios 7 controller box. Ordering lights sunday. They were already getting rootbound in the 3 gallon pots. Hopefully they don't in the 7s.

Well tonight I ordered lights. They will be here in 4-5 days. Unfortunately because of funding I was only able to go with two at the moment. I went with the Magnum XXXL 6 inch cooled hoods. I'm excited, I've never ran sealed hoods or digital ballasts before. I'll post updates as packages arrive.

Sorry for the long time with no posting. I've been very busy. Mainly dicking with Amazon. I ordered my 2 lights a few weeks back. They both showed up damaged. I called and complained and they sent me 2 more. Well one of them two were also damaged! So I call again. They send out a replacement. Believe it or not this light shows up damaged too! So now I have 5 lights. One of which is damaged and 4 that need to go back. So i call and finally talk to a guy who packages the light better. Finally I received the 2nd light in good condition today! What a shitty experience. Oh well. So now I can finally try to finish off the room.
In the meantime I had to switch to 12/12 because I couldn't contain their size anymore. So they are 5 days into flower. I'll post some pics tomorrow. These are some monsters. Hopefully I'll have the room up and running 100% by next weekend.
Next time I'll finish the project before I plan on using it.

Well here are some updated pics. I'm working on the room today and thought I'd snap a few pis of the ladies. You can see they have filled out pretty well. They are in 7 gallon pots and the one pic that's a 3.5 gallon watering pot in front. They are 1 week into flower so they still have another week of stretch.

So I finally got the room situated and up and running. There are still a few things needed to be done like Mylar and a few more fans. All of which are on their way. The ladies are 16 days into 12/12. I've got the new air cooled lights running and my temps didn't exceed 78°. The outside temps have been mid to high 90s this week and under the old adjust a wing my temps were in the mid 80s. So I've knocked 5-8 degrees off during the hottest period and they are in a smaller space now than before (13×13). Before they were in a 13×20 open area. So I'm happy. I apologize to anyone who is following this grow for the lack of updates. I just switched jobs and have been trying to scrape by plus find time to finish this room and take care of thr ladies. I'll promise to do weekly updates at a minimum from here on out. Thanks guys.

Well here are a few updated pics. They are really taking off and starting to set up nicely. I've got some very light tip burn from nutes I can only assume it's from a few days ago before they got put in the new room when temps were in the high 80s. Beyond that everything is looking excellent. They are on day 19 of 12/12. Already have some good crystal coverage going on. I managed to snap a few shots after lights went out. Also I included a shot of my nutrients. Everything is pictured except for Piranha and Tarantula because I ran out. Note that my Ballasts are not plugged in to the controller box that's because I'm still running my old magnetics at the moment till I get payed this week and can order my digitals haha. Also my gigantic roll of mylar will be here Tuesday tracking says. I'll post some pictures of the new and improved super shiny room when I finish.

Ok well today is day 22. I finally finished up the mylar. All that's left to do is wait on my other oscillating fan and new digital ballasts to show up (monday & Thursday). Everything is going smoothly except like I said the slight tip burn and now I have found a few fan leaves with some other kind of damage from either heat or nutes or both. Before these ladies got into this new room with good circulation and air cooled lights temps were in the mid to high 80s. Now they are hovering right around the mid to high 70s. if you have any input feel free to drop a line. I'm watering every 3rd or 4th day (as they dry up) and I'm using the whole Advanced line of nutrients at half recommended dosage every water. I'm adding cal mag every other water. Here are some new photos of the newly almost finished room. Thanks.

Day 26. Today is close-up Sunday. Starting to stack up pretty well. Some better than others. But overall pretty happy so far. For size comparison I tried to use my hands, but keep in mind I'm 6'4" with pretty large hands so maybe they don't do the tops justice.

How long do you flower this cut usually?? Is it a 11-12 week like the clone only Sour D? If it's going past 10 I would still use some until about midway. That should allow them to store enough N to last them till harvest. There is still N in the bloom so I would keep using maybe cut what you've been using in half and then stop but never used Advance so take it lightly.
