I:36:05 est, there should be a night launch. I was in Cocoa Beach for the very first night launch years ago and they are spectacular.

If it wasn't so humid tonite I'd break out my cameras, but the lenses will never settle down.....

Yes, Florida is preferable, but I think up the coast will be able to see as well. It was delayed due to storms (which I could see were everywhere) till tomorrow night 1:30 AM

Either way, that's a great site. Tons of stuff to learn and see....

I would love to learn more about these flying objects they see on the transmissions they do.... funny thing is, when something flys by, they allways go standby.. weird.. huh ?

anyways.

I still think they should use my GIANT SLINGSHOT idea.
You've all seen the thing at Six Flags where they shoot you up in the air with a bungee apparatus while your girlfriend (and some guys) scream and piss their pants... well--THINK BIGGER !!! MUCH BIGGER!!!

Fuel valves!??
Things of the PAST!
All they'd need is a fat CARNY with a BIG RED LEVER clearly marked "NOT TO BE PULLED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN TRAINED NASA PERSONNEL". What could be simpler? Who out there wouldn't love to see the women astronauts (and the wussy guys) screaming while the red light for their 'UNDERWEAR EVACUATION SYSTEM' came on? I'd watch.
Once the bungee had reached tv, a solid rocket booster or 2 would ignite and take 'em the rest of the way up.

EASY SQUEAZY

Funny you should mention that. NASA has been working on a rubber band rocket!!! It's still not ready yet, but NASA is confident that with an extra 10 Billion, they can go to mars in one of these....

Yep.
I'm sure there's a team at Lockhead Martin throwing defense money at a propeller that doesn't require air as we speak.

That's a special "black matter" propeller which costs as much as our stimulus package.

As soon as they figure out a way to shrink an Astronaut to the size of a peanut...we're good to go!!
