Spicy have you tried a 16 head main liner yet? The one time I tried 3 branches got broken when when a fan fell.. I'm going to try outside. I never had god luck with main liners . There was always 1 or 2 branches the end up much shorter than the rest..

I haven't tried a 16 head. I feel bad for them already with all the hacking they take early on. I couldn't imagine chopping the poor things' heads off one more time!

Mine didn't end up completely even like Nugs' but they were more even than they would have been otherwise.

I'm trying my first mainL after seeing you, Mo, and Myco's dear antler center pieces. I'd love to have me an 8 point lol. I don't hunt though. I just destroyed a girl, and super cropped all 4 mains. Do you think I over did it? I know the topping doesn't stress them much, if any ime.

I'm planning to top the ladies one final time this evening, giving them each 8 mains. 6 females, one still undecided. I'll only be up-potting 6 plants to 10-gal pots, so it better hurry up and make up it's mind if it wants to be considered in the selection.

What are your thoughts on plants that are slower than the rest to show sex? Possibly more sativa dom? Extra dank? Curiosity kills...

Hmm... They are due for their last topping this eve, so I kinda doubt that thing is gonna have a chance to show me preflowers... Oh well.

Attached a pic of the brew I've got going. Castings, a little kelp (2 TBSP), a little alfalfa (2 TBSP), and a little fish hydrolysate (2 TBSP). I ran out of molasses, so I added a couple TBSP of organic Sucanat (dried raw sugar cane juice). Should do the trick.

Sativa Dom maybe. A good sign to be female. You know males usually show sex sooner than females.

Ya, I'm pretty confident it's female. All the males showed first, a day or two before the first female.

Can't decide what to do... Gambling on that one would mean killing a confirmed female to stay within my 6 plant limit. I'll probably just play it safe...

That's the hardest choice! Not a bad position to be in tho. I'd research as many phenos I could before axing.

Subbed - how did I miss this thread?

I got some Vortex buds from Subcool at last year's Cup (2013). The stuff made me unable to keep a train of thought in my head. Completely blocked my memory. If you are in the OC area I could give you some to try.

Overall I just want to say I love your thread and your cab/room. It is also nice to see another mainliner! I did my first 16 mains plant and it turned out well:

My bad...missed the whole sativa dom post. Hyroot called it. IMO, the ones that show a little later aren't any better or worse for that reason.

Add: Great pics Mo!!! Who the hells gonna follow that lmao. Man I want an "8 point" :)

Welcome aboard, Mohican. I've been following along with your thread, too. Great stuff you've got going. I sure wish I lived somewhere I could have a backyard garden... I'm stuck growing veggies and dreaming of the day I can buy myself a house...

I'm up in Northern CA, so it looks like I'll have to wait to sample some of my own Vortex. I've never even tried the stuff. Never even seen it in a dispensary for that matter, but I don't visit them often.
