SpicySativa's Organic Garden

What kind of work do you do? If you don't mind me asking... I find it really interesting learning what this "counter culture" does from 9-5.

I am just trying to be unbiased. No reflection on your name or actions.

One fellow gardener on here made many comments that led me to believe that they were a woman. Today they made mention of their wife. It could still be a woman :)

Haha. You just never know... It wouldn't bother me if everyone here thought I was a woman. It would just be an extra layer of anonymity. Some day we'll all be posting about our gardens using our real names... That'll be the day.

Thanks! It's got a really strong, sweet lemony smell. Totally reminds me of an almost over ripe Meyer lemon from our tree. Cant wait to try it!

Now that the new grow cab is up and running, it's time to finish up my bed frame project. It's a 6-drawer storage bed frame that comes apart into 3 sections. That way it won't be a royal pain in the ass next time I move.

I'm really trying to move away from buying poorly made, disposable furniture that just gets tossed after a couple years. No more Ikea for me.

When my parents were in a small condo they had a bed frame made with drawers underneath for storage.

Nice. We were originally planning to just buy one, but I couldn't bring myself to pay over $500 for a piece of particle board crap. If you want something done right...

Now that the new grow cab is up and running, it's time to get back to finish up my bed frame project. It's a 6-drawer storage bed frame that comes apart into 3 sections. That way it won't be a royal pain in the ass next time I move.

Same here. Cheap shit .... plus their "directions" to assemble stuff is awful.

Nice!

I am making a conscious effort not to support companies who manufacture things that just end up rotting in landfills... Cheap furniture, cheap cotton t-shirts and socks, cheap shoes, cheap electronics, cheap fans, cheap bulbs, disposable bags and food containers, etc, etc... The way I see it, manufacturers of cheap goods are essentially manufacturing trash which will carry a different name for a short time before ending up in a landfill. And they don't care, because they're pulling a profit while I end up spending more in the long replacing poorly made crap.

SPICY! I just finished reading the entire thread! I think were about at the same spot with out Vortex. I wonder how were going to compare to one another. I hope I do as well as you. I really need to get off of this website and actually do something. I need to build another flower room so that I can make my perpetual a bit more managable. I'm subbed up and ready for some learnin!! Have you tried any breeding yet? I'm gonna try and breed a AK47 lady to one of my Vortex dudes. Might be fun. I'm in the breeding world most likely ALWAYS going to be called a pollen chucker lol

What's up MzFarmer? Welcome.

I haven't messed with breeding, but I am definitely interested. Thing is, I just have the one (newly expanded) grow space. I don't have any space to grow out a male without dusting my whole crop. I also keep pretty busy. While I LOVE gardening, I have many other hobbies that take up my time. I actually just dismantled my veg cabinet to further simplify my setup. Now I will only be working one set of plants at a time. Of course I visit my plants every day (usually morn and eve), but it's nice to only have work to do once every few days.

The 8-headed youngsters are starting to look a little hungry... I'll pot them up to 10 gals this evening.

(.. for my records... super exciting post, I know...)
